Great video. I was at a football game over the weekend and used Adaptive mode. Made a huge difference for me. Quieted the stadium but I could still hear the important parts. I find the noise cancellation feature creates pressure so I don't use it.

Great review! FYI, lossless audio support is only available on devices with the H2 chip, so the AirPods themselves and the device sending the audio require this chip. So far the only device that can do this is the Apple Vision Pro. This is because it’s not using Bluetooth, it’s using a proprietary wireless technology developed by Apple that operates on the 5GHz band. I believe the AirPods have to be within a few centimeters of the device broadcasting the audio in order for lossless to work.

I enjoyed your review of Apple Airpods 4. I am considering getting a pair because my smart TV (LG Oled) has a terrible sound, particularly when watching movies. Do you know if these Airpods_4 would be compatible with my TV, since they would be connected via Bluetooth? And if yes, do you think I would get a significant improvement in the quality of the sound? I am thinking of the Airpods 4 without ANC. Thanks!

One thing I never understood about "noise cancelling" coming from the radio world is that to me "noise cancelling" would refer to the mic/audio input. And Apple products are notorious for amplifying background noise thereby torturing the person on the other end of the call. The only noise cancelling I am interested in is filtering out background noise into the microphone which I don't think any of these apple airpods do or have ever done. Correct me if I'm wrong. I ended up going with Blue Parrot trucker headsets because I got tired of the people on the other end complaining about my background noise. And I heard just how bad it was and I felt I owed it to them.

It works perfect on Non ANC, and not at all on ANC. Wierd.

Thank you so much; these are my first set and you’ve helped me understand how these work. Gratefully, From Aging Rapidly! 😉

ANC version should have been priced where the standard ones are with AP4 at $99.
@poopyman4452Ай бұрын
Well they should've just only made the ANC version and sell it at the price for the non ANC ones that were made

I have Airpods 2 and decided to try AP4. I found them uncomfortable compared to the 2, and the frequency response to be poorer to the 2s. Tended to the bass and mids, no highs. Disagree with Lon, I found them muffled and the highs bad. Noise cancellation was quite good. But in the end, I returned them.

agree about the sound, it does seem muffled, with ANC on or off, not sure whats going on with the reviews saying sound quality is improved, airpods 3 sounded better imho, but they do seem to be a better fit for at least this one subject.

I couldn't have said it better myself. That's exactly how I feel about the AirPods 4 and, like you, I'm about to return them.

Hello, does ANC works on Android smartphone? And does it works well? Who can tell?

If you have and android I recommend the Soundcore Liberty 4 nc, I’ve had them for almost a year now and it’s probably one of the best earbuds I’ve ever owned

Yes, everything on airpods will work EXCEPT for spatial audio, you also can't edit if them in settings, but all your really need the airpod settings for is disabling in ear detection and personalized spatial audio (which doesn't work on Android, so you don't have to worry) to activate ANC, you just have to hold down the stem down until you hear a sound, but you can never turn it to just nothing, it'll always either be on transparency or ANC, as for the new mode on the airpods, I'm not sure since I only used to use my gen 3s till I lost the case and the other earbud while biking (I have apple care plus but don't know what to do can anyone of y'all help me pls?) and also, the connectivity works a little better on Androids because even when you are really far, it always tries it's best to stay connected to the phone and will cutt out before eventually disconnecting, compared to when you use an iphone, it just pauses then disconnects once you get far enough, also the audio quality will be about 0.8% compared to the audio quality on an iphone.
