lol i have used a vape for the last few years not really trying to give up though just didnt like the smell from cigarettes. Thank you Cliff :-)
@theromanywoodshop6617 жыл бұрын
Hi Pam, kushti design box that. What width blade are you using on ur bandsaw there? I changed to a 1/8" for tight curves which i found easier for me. I know some peeps use a wider one for curves but the narrower was better for me. Its probs my technique thats lacking lol
@Highlandboxes7 жыл бұрын
I use a 1/8 inch blade for all curve cuts and 1/4 to1/2 inch for front and back of boxes. It took me many boxes before i felt relaxed cutting and then the boxes started to look good. Just time. Thank you :-)

Hi rowland i have a sip heavy duty 10inch bandsaw old but does the work for me although with thick oak it can be slow. Many thanks :-)
@hansdegroot85496 жыл бұрын
@@Highlandboxes Beautiful box! Heavy duty means how many (k)Watt or HP? What is the thickness and width of the blade? What thickness can the wood max have on your bandsaw?

Why do you like to use sanding sealer?
@Highlandboxes6 жыл бұрын
I use sand sealer as it gives a smoother finish to the wood once sanded than without it. Many thanks :-)
@rbfriesen6 жыл бұрын
Ahh. Do you use the beal buffing system as well? I have it and find that it gives a Great initial appearance then looses its shine quickly. But I still use it because it's fool proof.
@Highlandboxes6 жыл бұрын
Hi Rick i use lacquer to finish sometimes i buff that and gets a nice shine but mostly just lacquer finish :-)
@rbfriesen6 жыл бұрын
I didn’t know you could buff a finish like that. I thought it might result in heat and some funny effects on the finish. I’ll have to play with that. I also have bever used a laquer finish. Only danish oil or polyurethane.

I can't come out of it how some people can soooo easily follow a line with a bandsaw or a scroll saw.
