I have both Pixelmator and Photomator, it would be very disappointing if Apple would kill those apps.

Apple bought Logic Pro from EMagic in 2002 and bought Final Cut Pro from Macromedia in 1998. They're still being developed and sold by Apple.

@@தமிழோன்he means compared to other apps that do the same functionality, they are so much lagging behind. Apple is interested in subscription plans, not one time purchases.

I’m cautiously excited about this acquisition. I’d like to see Pixelmator’s functionality integrated into Apple Photos and other Apple Products. I think it would be an amazing addition to Keynote, Pages and Notes. It would be a game changer for me.

Oh wow! I’ve been using Pixelmator for iPad for years now. One of my favorites.

I guess but why not just port motion from the Mac to the iPad? They already did it for logic and Final Cut and it would literally be perfect for the iPad with the Apple Pencil

Hopefully this will add more Pro level features to Photos. Aperture was the best app in its category, unfortunately for Apple users, this was right when the iPhone started making waves, and Apple shifted all resources to iOS and pro apps fell by the wayside... hopefully apple can relight the Aperture torch!

When I got my first Mac in 2015, I looked around for something to replace Photoshop. Bought this back then and it continues to be my go to for editing stuff to this day. I wonder what will come of this move. I doubt the app will go away, but it wouldn't surprise me if they eventually roll it into the OS.

No Mac will ever qualify as a gaming console until game devs get over themselves and start making their games for the Mac. No amount of bloviating will change this. Don't get me wrong I want this to happen but it's on the devs at this point.
@ChadHutsebautfilms5 сағат бұрын
😂it’s not game devs that need to get over themselves it’s Apple. Why would a developer spend time and money porting their game to a platform that requires the developer use apples Metal 3 api instead of just supporting Vulcan, when the Mac makes up a very small percentage of the PC market? If Apple actually want gamers to switch to Mac they have to start by working with valve to get as many windows games as possible running through gptk or proton without depreciating Vulcan. Then they need to stop charging insane prices for storage and memory upgrades. When it’s actually profitable for devs to port their games to Mac they will start doing it, but until then Mac gaming will still be a joke.
@RageeequitttСағат бұрын
@@ChadHutsebautfilms this is such a tired argument. Ok hear me out no matter what Apple does games will never come to Mac UNLESS the developers write their games for Mac. I'm not sure what about that is confusing to you, are you a child? What does Apple has to do with a studio making a game?. You just cry and whine but MeTaL like a little baby. You said Vulcan, but what about Cuda or Open GL or DX12?? Your argument is lost because devs use all of these and again no matter what apple does games won't come to Mac unless the devs MAKE THEM FOR MAC... You almost made a good point sport. Better luck next time.

Agreed that if you don’t need Thunderbolt 5 now, you might in the future. I’d rather increase RAM and save a bit in on storage and use Thunderbolt 5 to connect an SSD drive if and when I needed more.

I have this app and love it. Now, I’ve really only used it on Mac but I have played around with it on my iPad but not enough to know if I like it or not.

I want Apple gaming to happen simply because of the eco system integrations, but until they put some serious cash behind it I.e Apple Tv+ levels of cash then I just don’t think it’s there yet.

MacBooks are more than powerful enough for gaming. I just want Apple and Xbox to sort their sh*t out and get Xbox Game Pass on Mac. Steam is good, now for Game Pass.
@coyley726 сағат бұрын
@dailytekk can you investigate if Xbox and Apple are indeed in talks to bring Game Pass to Mac _(obviously for native installs and not a cloud gaming app)_ thanks
