Wow, tricky! I was getting suspicious about their 10% cash back offer and wondered what the catch was. Now I see I could get caught in a problem of confusion. I don't like having a balance hanging around creating interest $$ so I will be using your great info tonight to pay it off. You were very calm, clear and helpful so thank you!!

I have been FUMING over how frustrating it is to do this. How freaking stupid it is that it’s set up this way. BUT, you definitely get a like for showing me how to do this!!! Previously, I had to go to the website to do it. I was on the phone with someone either at Apple or GS, and they told me the only way to do it was on the website.

Yes! Apple’s deceptive tactics to keep you paying for credit is annoying. 😂 I had to look this video up because I am exactly the same way and wanted clarity on this issue. Apple knows what they’re doing. It’s a game of psychology. But we’re smarter than that. 😉 A year later, your video is still helping people make informed decisions on their purchase choices. Thanks!! 😊

Quick question, when using the monthly payment option does it ding your credit utilization on your credit report? For instance your credit line is 8K. After you made your purchases did your utilization go up to %50 on the card or did it show as 0?
@cesar22753 жыл бұрын
I think it’s only the balance on all other transactions that is reported. Because like she stated, her balance can be showing as 0 even though she has installments on her card.
@bean420man3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Because it is just like any other card. If you do the installment plan, then it charges the amount to your card. The benefit to you is that it lets you pay it off over a set amount of time and with 0% interest. For example, before I had this card, I used my B&H Photo Video card (Synchrony Bank) to finance my LG CX 55" OLED. It was also 0% interest if paid in full by 12 months. As soon as I placed the order, it maxed my card and my credit took the hit for having such high card utilization. If you look on the video, all you have to do is add the numbers up. If she pays off the $2069, she would be back to her $8000 limit. Notice that 2069.54 + 5930.46 = 8000
@dumbzyboi54143 жыл бұрын
@@bean420man so after she pays off the remaining 2k what happens after that? More debt?
@bean420man3 жыл бұрын
@@dumbzyboi5414 If she pays it off, then her card utilization will fall back to 0 again and she would have her whole line of credit available. If I have a card with a $10000 limit and I use 3000 of it, then I only have 7000 left. If I pay back 1500 of that, then I'd have 8500 left, etc.

I need to thank you for this helpful video. They make it so complicated for people that we cannot get it easily. They charged me for things I did not know about ( like MTA Fee and ... which I never used) and I could not get them to give me some explanations. So sadly, I decided to pay my balance off to prevent them from charging me for sth that I did not know about. And I never ever again finance anything from them again.
