What Edward is doing by deliberately not letting his wife take his child to the er is a crime in the US. It is medical neglect.

I would have happily accepted Edward's first mention of divorce. The man is an utter knob-jockey.

Never ever just throw the word ‘divorce’ around. It isn't to be taken lightly. He forced her hand. CHECKMATE Edward!! 😂

What *is* it with these husbands that refuse to eat leftovers? When I was growing up, we had leftovers for dinner on a regular basis. My family didn't waste food.
@conjumonblue64506 ай бұрын
Same here. My wife and I would make a big pot of stew or chili and would it last for 2-3 days. My parents and my wife's parents did the same thing. Heck, things like stew taste better the next day!

Leftovers can be made into a whole different meal if you want to. I do it all the time

My dad and my FIL refuse to eat leftovers.
@jenevans76643 ай бұрын
There we 6 kids in our family, my mom was a farm girl, we ate alot of leftovers (if there were any) we always had strays for meals (our friends knew what time meals were in our house, where dishes and cutlery were kept). They always helped with dishes and clean-up. Mom and dads philosophy at the dinner table was 'There's always room for 1 more'. Our friends were always welcome in our home.

As an only daughter in a family with dad as bread winner and mom as homemaker Edward makes me cringe. My dad would have sold his kidney for me and he would NEVER have spoken to my mom that way. He let my mom handle every penny he ever made.
@Gah2Kylie6 ай бұрын
Same with my mom and dad. Mom handled the finances and I never saw them argue. I loved my life as a kid. I couldn't have been any happier! These 2 posts need to serve as a lesson.
@jenevans76643 ай бұрын
My dad and mom both worked. Mom took care of the bulk of the housework, paid the bills. Dad helped with housework and cooking as well as they both did yard work, us kids (4 girls, 2 boys) did chores, dishes, laundry, yard work, worked in the garden, helped mom with canning. We had a great life as kids, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Dad always said if mom didn't handle the finances he wouldn't have a pot to piss in nor a window to throw it out of.

@linexp2745 ай бұрын
Dan is a selfish trick with a capital P! If you let your spouse put everything on your plate then you are a doormat! There’s no way I would have ever let him get away with that or the way he disrespects her! Funny how he eats everything she makes but is gaslighting her to think her cooking sucks! He’s also a narcissist who wants to keep her under his control! He’s working on her self esteem to make her feel bad about herself! He’s also making her think everyone is lying to her so he isolates her!! He’s starting fights so he can go out and cheat and make her feel guilty!! Wow he’s got every trait of Narcissism!! Huge red flags 🚩 Run 🏃🏻♀️

Why can't Edward cook for himself? His money is also hers for all the work she does in the home. She should have told him that if throws out the toys, she'll just go buy more. Meanwhile he's spending it on a side chick.

Guess who would be eating balogna three times a day. It is abuse. My late father bought good for himself while four kids shared a small can of tomato soup and my mother went hungry. We were all always hungry. He didn't want to buy us clothes and shoes and had to wear them until our toes made holes in the shoes. I once had to go months without glasses he cause he wouldn't buy me them. I have really bad vision and I couldn't even see the board at school from the front seat. My mom made a deal with an optometrist to basically pay him small amounts. I don't know how she did it considering my father took any money she made. I started buying my own glasses at 15 because I had to have them and I couldn't trust my father to bother. He died alone and unloved. My mom was 40 when she finally came to her senses and divorced him.

Nana' s 2 cents; Horace, is ridiculous. "Do you expect me to starve"? He can't even fix himself a sandwich? He can't even help his own dad? He does nothing, but whine, like a 4 year old. Her money, is none of his business. She had that saved up, while she was single. A woman, should never let a man know, that she has money, cause he'll just take it!
@whiteowl40976 ай бұрын
I don't remember hearing a story from the title. Kinda misleading.
@patricialessard67876 ай бұрын
Horace is cheating. I don't think he was really going forward with marriage. He just wanted to live with her, which I think alot of people would be better trying it first. Well that's my opinion but many people have different ideas. And guys like this ,at least you can just walk away . Easier than their kinds of divorce and believing those weird "rules!".

What is up with these women feeling like a "burden" or "troubling"or people who care about them "worrying"them with thier problems. Its like people have a take control of everything and not being able to rely on "family" to help with all that is needed. I understand these stories are from other countries but "fileal piety" or having "people to pay back for raising them" like really??? Why would people think its okay to strain yourself for others but not to bother others when its needed?

Once again, abusers do not suddenly wake up one day and decide to become abusive. Edward was like this from the beginning and OP not only doesn't get my sympathy, I find her disgusting that not ONLY would she sleep with this guy, but she brought a child into the home of an abuser and stays far too long. The first words out of her mouth when h e said he'd destroy the daughter's toy s is I WANT A DIVORCE. What's worse, the abuser, or a mother who lets her small child stay around an abuser? She argues with him repeatedly so she isn't afraid of him. In fact she spent several minutes arguing with him instead of calling an ambulance for her daughter. She in fact waits until HE drops off the divorce papers to leave him. She is not a good mother.
@bjheading15195 ай бұрын
Have you ever been in an abusive relationship? Most abusers are very manipulative, and charming. Abuse can be very insidious. Edward may not have acted like this in the beginning.
@angelabeyer24972 ай бұрын
Actually most abuser do seem to ‘suddenly’ become abusive because they hide it until they get their victims into a position where they think they can’t escape. A lot of abusive husbands wait until their wife has a child before starting to be abusive.
