What people misunderstood about 'forgiveness' is that you are giving that person a second chance to prove that they can change. That they will be a better person. The other thing they are forgetting is that people with no remorse will not change. The victim has every right to not forgive them. After all, whose to say that they will do it again? Show that they hadn't changed at all? And some people only seekt it for their own benefit; that everyone else will stop treating them like crap or give them cold looks. Or that, on thier death bed, they worry about going to hell. THAT is the reason. They genuinely don't feel remorse and are just saying 'sorry' to just get it over with and get something out of it. If they truly are sorry, they have to mean it. Actions speak louder than words, for the most part. A real good person SHOWS that they are. There is no need to say that if you truly are, after all. Summer is NOT a good person and is only asking June for help for her own benefit. Summer has no remorse. She shattered the trust of her biological family. She never changed. She didn't want to change. She is a parasite that latches on to whoever she thinks will benefit her the most.

Every time I hear these stories I am so grateful my own sister was the polar opposite. She absolutely refused to date any guy I had gone out with, even just once. Any guy she was interested in she always brought me a picture and asked if I'd ever been into him, with him, etc. I returned the favor because why wouldn't I? Even our things, she was always so careful not to take things of mine, even when I told her she could. I honestly could not have asked for a better sister in this world or the next. I had a friend that knew I liked a guy and when he mentioned wanting to get to know her better, she pointed him towards me and said she wasn’t interested, but I was. She told me that had I not been interested in him, she probably would have dated him, but didn’t want to risk hurting me over a guy. Funny thing is I would have back off if I had known she also liked him. But she never told me and she backed off first. Luckily we didn’t date long (4 months, 2 month break and another month and a half), and she said that seeing that made her actually glad she didn’t date him. He was still too hung up on his ex-GF. I do think June was a bit harsh with the grudge...after all, when you think about it, Summer actually did June a huge favor by saving her not only from a lazy cheating husband (who will likely cheat again) with a spending problem, but also from in-laws from hell...an inappropriate pervert dad and an entitled mom. Summer is getting what she deserves though I hope Fred & his family get karma at some point as they should be punished too.(While all of them are terrible the dad & Red deserve it the most cause pervert creep dad/FIL & deadbeat Fred failing to get money in the stupidest ways) I kinda hope the dad/FIL ends up in jail or something scares him enough to learn not to say creep perverted things or else face something horrific. If those twin infants are being left unfed and in dirty diapers all day by the MIL, then CPS (or equivalent), needs to be called. That is neglect and abuse. OP can hate her sister, her ex and her ex’s family all she wants, as well as refusing to meet, interact with or have anything whatsoever to do with her nephews. That is all fine and dandy. But if she knows that those boys are being neglected and treated poorly, she should at least have the decency to call authorities so the boys can hopefully get the care and help they need.
