YES! A newer version of the iPad mini is needed. I've had the iPad mini 4 for years now and whenever I see other ipads they are big and not as portable as the iPad mini.

buy the apple keyboard folio and u will never regret it. I got mine yesterday, just love it. Light and feel like holding the ipad only. Can type perfectly on my lap as well. I just do not need anything better

Yay! I can't wait for you review. I receive the exact same set up for Christmas. I ended up getting a separate case. I found when I don't need a keyboard, it was a little too heavy (my arms are weak and I notice it quickly), plus I would actively hit keys when I folded it behind the back if holding vertical for reading. I really love the Face ID (my first device with it). The set up was a breeze and my old iPad Pro was forever running out of space. I find keeping the pencil attached drains the battery a bit quicker. Hope you enjoy it!

Good purchase! I too bought myself the same model and size except it is 256GB. I still waiting for my order to arrive today. Anywho, I am watching as many Apple ipad pro videos to learn their features and upgrades. FYI: I too owned an Apple Mini (the first gen) and had enough of its slow function and bugs with certain apps. Also, some apps just did not work with the update it had on the Mini so that was annoying.

The design looks antiquated?? It looks so much more modern than the previous iPad Pro and that angular design gives it an industrial professional look. Elements akin to the iPhone 5 design I think is a perfect homage to one of the best iPhone designs in its history. The gesture based interfaced is more intuitive than the previous home button method I’m happy and surprised apple has been able to release such a decent product.

I have a new iPad. when I tried to get a case I like the type I had with the mini and full case with back and front. now they no longer have that time. had to buy the case that only covers the front and stays on with a magnet along side I hate it. it's fallen off more than a few times. First chance I get I' taking the iPad and bringing it to best buy because I know they have other cases but want to make sure it fits. I didn't want to spend the extra money for the case that has the keyboard.

I got my Apple Pencil personalized with my name because I carry it every where. Also, anxious to see if you believe the key board is worth it...I got the apple folio cover and love it. Speed is great, hate having a different charger but love the faster charge. I traded in my old large I pad pro, but so far finding everything faster . Really like the 11 iPad Pro as it fits inside my Chanel maxi flap bag.

Yes! I’m no excited for Tech Tuesday’s! I purchased the 11” as well as a Christmas gift to myself. I love it! I also have a mini and I desperately wish they would come out with a newer version. Nothing beats the portability of that thing, it even fits in my Gucci Soho Disco. I’ll still be hanging on to it b/c its handy but as you said, its software compared to the pro is depressing 😂 I was planning to get apple’s keyboard case but I think I’ll get another cheaper alternative from amazon or wait for Logitech to release their version.
