Apple iPhone SE 4 - Actually Not Awful? | TSW197

Apple's iPhone SE 4 was expected in 2024 but the release date may be pushed to 2025 - but is this budget iOS blower worth waiting for? Well, unlike the current model, rumours and leaks point to a vastly improved iPhone SE 4 with a decent camera (just the one). Battery life is apparently no longer pants, and the screen is finally proper OLED. So if you're after an iPhone on the cheap, it could be an alternative to a refurbished older model.
But is the iPhone SE 4 basting your beef? Do these leaks and rumours make you eager to save up, or should you grab a mid-range Android phone instead? Let us know your thoughts below!

nobody asked for a budget 14 as an SE, its the size that made the se shine. if you have to carry two phones due to work, carrying 2x 14s is just a NO, if they get rid of the current SE they better bring back the mini, especially for those with smaller hands.

I'm hoping the SE4 will settle on a fingerprint sensor built in to the power button. As far as cutting corners goes a fingerprint sensor is fairly standard even on the budget phones so it shouldn't add too much to the price.

@@-m1nt-378 What on earth do you mean "wonderland shit", side-mounted fingerprint sensor is like one of the most common places to put a fingerprint sensor, it literally came out almost a decade ago, in 2015, Samsung Galaxy A series especically use it on a LOT of their models, and it was famously on the Galaxy S10e as well, a phone that's literally half a decade old 😭

Chris, when will you give the pwm flicker issue some attention? Especially samsung and apple suck in this area. Chinese companies have better displays when it comes to pwm, motorola has a antiflicker toggle. Need google back on huawei 😢

Brilliant A55? So the 4K@30fps is better than the 4K@60fps..? I tought the more frames better.. 😂 also the 4 years of OS updates are better like the 7-8? Not to mention the CPU in the SE is on about the Flagship Android CPU level (even if it's only get the one year old chip, still better like the Exynos, or any other low range chip), because of that weak chip they can't give you more updates.. if the chip itself srtoger, they can still gives you the updates longer, because the phone still strong enough to run that without problem.. those who are buying the SE are not planing to buy any new phone for 4-8 years.. and any current Android non flagship chip will be a nightmare to use just after a few years... (especially Samsung who not even gives the AI features to the S22 users, who bought the phone with 4 years of promised updates, but it's already not strong enough to give them what they promised.. those AI features are server based, so you only need a phone what can communicate with the server.. their weaker new budget phones get the feature what the 2 years old flagship not... good luck to trust in Samsung.. 😂)
