Apple Leather VS Nomad Leather Case for iPhone 13 Pro Max

I fully recommend the Nomad (for iPhone 13) this year, because they finally updated the buttons from that horrible stiff ones on iPhone 12 version! That was a huge deal breaker to me. But this year they manage to complete overhaul the buttons and they are now just as clicky as the Apple leather case. Honestly, the Nomad is the perfect case now. (The soft rubber around the phone actually protects the phone very well, and prevents scuffing when you put it on rough surfaces)

I wanna buy the nomad, but The fact that both holes on the bottom are the same size annoys me because the microphone grille is smaller than the speaker grille. But I also heard the fitment is not too good, because you can see the metal of the phone at the front.

Yes the buttons on the iPhone 12 is very stiff. Not to mentioned that if you’re using a alll rounder screen protector, when you press the volume keys, it will some how peel the screen protector 😔

I was waiting for the saddle brown Apple case because I love the patina look. And they come up with that orange case instead. So I got a green Apple leather case for my gold pro. I like the Nomad case but it looks chunky and I don’t like the black sides.

Its preference. People are saying the apple is vegan leather. Idk. Nomad is genuine leather. My big issue was the bunching up in the corner of the apple because the leather wraps around unlike the nomad

I dont think Nomad cuts corners.. I think this is their design, which I really like! The rubber/plastic on the sides feels pretty good as wel, so I dont mind the less leather

Personally I find the Nomad to be the superior case... The rubber around gives better grip, especially if your hands are not perfectly dry. Great review though.

I have the 1 tb graphite 13pm and the leather case color was midnight. For the blue I think the golden brown or midnight would look good as the camera module is blue and would look cool with those colors

Can’t go wrong with the Nomad. I use the Nomad cases still on my 12 and will hopefully pick up another when I decide to switch to the 13 or 14 series iPhone.

i actually got both the apple leather case and the platinum leather case with Horween leather. after using them both for a while , the feel of the Horween leather is so much better. i prefer the dark purple color of the apple case i got and the buttons are easier to press but the leather is so much better on the platinum case i cant go back. it feel great in the hand etc. while the apple picked up oil or felt kind of greasy after a while and i had to wipe it off.

My 12 pro max with nomad case fell down from 7ft to hard marble floor. Not a single scratch even to the case. Nice protection indeed.

The plastic sides are what hold me back from Nomad. If they ever do leather on the sides, it'll be a no-brainer.

I’ve had a lanyard on my nomad case but since it’s plastic it’s broke off fairly easy. Wouldn’t recommend a lanyard in the nomad case if you do get it

I purchased the Nomad in English Tan for my 13 Pro Max. It's in route now so I'm still waiting for it to show up. I didn't like to Apple color options, or I would have gone that route. To me the Nomad will protect the phone better and that's what the case should be designed to do. I like the way the Nomad ages.

@@prestonpotter1867 it is! The box doesn’t use the terms “MagSafe”, but it does say that it is “magnetic charging compatible”. The case advertises to work with the iPhone 12 pros and 13 pros, I’m sure it works great :)

It is Leather, it is supposed to PATINA, it will age. It is a given. The dings and knicks etc builds the story of your leather. Like a leather wallet or baseball glove.

I have both cases and use them for different purposes. My Apple case is my going out/date night case and my nomad case is my gym/tough case. I’ve found the Nomad case to be really durable after drops because of the rubber sides and the Apple cases just tear up after a drop because of the leather sides.

I would be more interested in someone cutting these cases up and showing us exactly how thin or thick the leather actually is! Iphones cases are very mediocre, the leather is actually a super thin layer, how thin I don't know. Of course its to reduce coasts and sell cheap a leather product to high prices (profit). So yes I would wanna see the leather cut up. I prefer leather cases from companies that use real leather and not a thin excuse of leather as Apple does. The nomad one, I would never buy this version atleast.

Apple leather is superior. They did screw up the type of leather after the 11 series. The saddle brown used to patina really well. Once the 12 came out it stayed the light color and just got gross looking around the edges. I got the 13 pro this year and opted for the midnight leather apple case. Sierra blue and the midnight leather looks great, it’s got a slight blue hue to it.

That’s because it’s an iPhone 12 Pro Max in a 13 pro max case. I tried to use a silicone case for my 12 pro max and the switch is slightly off. Sucks I wish when phones were similar enough they could just make cases cross compatible between the two models. I don’t wanna buy a whole new phone just to use the new released cases from Apple
