To all the daughters in law out there, you do not have to listen to your mother-in-law, telling you that she is going to educate you on how to be a good wife chances are that education will include verbal abuse, and sometimes physical abuse. If that happens to you, please do not feel that you have to continue to be abused your mother-in-law has no right to do that to you and neither does any member of her family, they have no right to treat you like a maid or a slave absolutely none. If you are in a situation like that, please talk to somebody in a member of your family to help you get out of that situation. No one should be physically or verbally abused ever.

additional ending: The MIL jail sentence was increased when the text messages came to light and charges for attempted murder of a woman and an unborn child was added The MIL enraged demanded that the sentence be deceased, with her saying 'no one die so you can't charge me for that' and ' I can't miss any more of my favorite shows'. Her sentence was increased further when she assaulted police officers trying to restrain her

Kristen should have told her MIL to clean the stairs herself, do her own grocery shopping, and clean Mina’s room. Well at least she refused to clean Mina’s room. My house my rules? Time to move Kristen! The mother in law is insufferable! The whole shed thing was pretty lame. That part of the story made absolutely no sense. How did the MIL get Mina out of the bed, down the stairs and out to the shed and NOT known it wasn’t Kristen? So what if Mina gained weight. Ridiculous. And Kristen, why did you need to message Tony to ask him what to do? If your parents live across town you should have left long ago. Why don’t you (Kristen) and Tony get your own house? Why are all these married couples always living with parents/inlaws?

Mil has no authority to order anyone. Tell her to kick dirt and do her own work. Say you will not do what she says. You have every right to say no. Especially since you are late stage pregnancy.

I’ve seen a bit of this from a friend who was from an Asian migrant family, the daughter was expected to be the housekeeper along with the mother, and her brother told me it was the expectation of the daughter to fulfill the same role when was eventually married. In this case, I think we’re more looking at a mother/mother-in-law who has a “holier-than-thou” attitude, so just expects everyone to cater to her demands, especially the daughter-in-law

in all these type of evil and toxic M.I.L. I often wonder where the husbands are in these stories..why do they allow their wives to be treated in such an unacceptable manner being treated like a servant who caters to every whim that the old hags come up with..it is almost like torture?

They are usually complicit, either being dirtbags themselves or a mama's boy trained all his life that Mama is God incarnate. Or the guy is absent due to business and silly wife doesn't want to "worry" him until the situation becomes dangerous.

A dislocated hip is not okay after a few day stay in the hospital. There is at least a week in the hospital and then being transfered over to a rehab center where she would be taken care of till the doctors state that she can start on her walking stage as she would have to have assistance in getting her hip back to full use if it was dislocated as the story claims.
