For being together for 2 years, wouldn't any of this have been discussed further before this point? At the first time she mentioned she wanted to eventually become a housewife, they should've then had the discussion over any misgivings he might've had over that choice. It comes across odd that none of this seemed to've been talked about between them in any degree over the course of 2 years and now it's all a surprise with the proposal.

Exactly. Like. People need to communicate. I started dating my now husband with the intention of looking for a marriage partner. He was of the same mindset. So we discussed this sort of stuff right away. First date we discussed how many kids we wanted, that i wanted to be a housewife, etc.

These "narratives" are always based on the premise that these people NEVER talk about anything of substance! Exactly. How is it that they dated for 2 years and they never talked about this. They spent time together, they shared opinion, they talked, right? How is it that he never heard of this. I met my husband in my friends house, we exchanged the contact info because I have dogs and he is a vet. Then we started seeing each other. From the begining we talked about everything. About the fact that I like to work and I need to earn. I love my job. About that he has a son and his wife died. About that I cant have any children. We decided with time that I will meet his son. And we did all we could to make it as much as easy and smooth for the child. When we got maried we already had been decided that I will adopt his son. We realy on each other in everything. And we were not dating for 2 years. We dated for a year and got maried. How is it that he thought it will go as he planned and he never listened?

Before they got engaged you should have talked things out she wants to quit her job and be a housewife but he got upset about that cuz he thought he goes to support her not bring no money in but when she told her uncle owes the store now he changed his mind but she said no now she know how he really is he didn't love her at all she'll find somebody that love her and make her dream come true being housewife and a mother if I'm a man that loves her for herself there's nothing wrong with that being a housewife if you continue not to work some women are like that but you should have talked ahead of time before this happens now you see how he really acts to you
