Since when does a lawyer sue a doctor and leave the hospital alone? Plus, if he was employed by a hospital at the time of the malpractice, he would have had malpractice insurance. He wouldn't have been able to work at a hospital without insurance. And that insurance would have covered him for the event, even if he was fired. He would be uninsurable after that but he would have been insured for that event. Fun story, but a lot of it doesn't make sense.

Avoiding learning all (and I do mean ALL) of the facts in an issue keeps on giving greedy, ambitious, unrealistic people the comeuppance they rightly deserve. MIL was unrealistic in her pride for her doctor son by wanting a grandchild and not taking her son's condition and even potential malpractice into account. Kim was greedy and ambitious, expecting that the mere title of 'doctor' meant riches, without stepping back to ask why her funds were needed for a mansion if her doctor husband was so wealthy. Turns out ignorance is NOT bliss.

Given he doesn't care for his patients he shouldn't be a dad. Wonder how the family is doing? Dad os barely mentioned but is supposedly still there so he must be a spineless man on his wife's side. The mom has to deal with paying off her son's debt from his lawsuits, the family has been embarrassed, the woman she technically tricked is pregnant that if the mom had a clear head for a sec from how crazy she is about a grandkids would know it isn't biologically her son's.
