I don't do my nails either and have never had them done and I have been married for almost 30 years now. I just can't believe how freaking shallow so many of the people in these stories are. I'm glad that I have taught mine there is more to life than just physical beauty.

I got my first fancy manicure a couple of weeks ago for a wedding- a rich SIL inlaw shouted for me- and it was kinda awful- sweet of her but the manicurist couldn't speak English, she did everything wrong. I never go to salons, I'd rather buff my nails at home and just seeing how expensive the upkeep is for all this stuff- it's ridiculously expensive to be a girl
