You assume they are Americans , but many names (including my real name ) are pronounced by Foreigners differently.

P.S. The way foreigners pronounce my real first name ie: Africans, Hispanics, Latinos and Asians . The pronunciation is how my name was originally pronunced , which I actually prefer.

@mysteryelysian • Anyone with knowledge of Etymology would tell you that you’re INCORRECT in this case. The name, “Geoffrey,” is derived from the Old German words, “Guda,” meaning ‘God’ and, “Friþuz,” meaning ‘Peace’, the name, “Geoffrey,” means, “God's peace.” • Is can also be a Middle French variant of the names, “Godfrey, “and, “Gottfried.” • The Anglicized version of this name, “Jeffrey,” has become slightly more popular

Geoff is pronounced Jeff. It's spelled Geoffrey instead of Jeffery or Jeffrey. But all 3 are still pronounced the same.
