I'm a lab tech doing blood bank for 25 years. AB Neg is rare...but they can receive O Neg. Everyone can accept O Neg and every hospital ALWAYS have it on hand because of quick bleed out trauma. So there's really no panic here. Also an order for AB Neg would have been sent out to the blood supplier and depending how distant from the hospital, should be there within hours.

That's not true actually..... AB - can get blood from EVERY OTHER Bloodtype and AB + from every bloodtype except AB -, bc AB is universal blood reciever, while bloodtype 0 is the bloodtype that can be donated to every other bloodtype but can only recieve the own bloodtype and then it's a little difference between 0+ and 0 -, bc 0 + can get 0 + and 0 -, while 0 - only can get 0 -. I'm 0 + myself, so I know that 😂

The writers need to adhere to common sense, you learn in grade school science about blood types. The one who needs to worry is the sister with the child, if she has another baby the positive rH factor may cause problems,
