Disappointing that the gen 2 doesn’t work with the ipad 10th. I don’t even care about the magnetic charging but the pressure sensitivity seems like a game changer

Definitely agree! Why not just keep the Apple Pencil 1 compatible with all iPads bc it has pressure sensitivity. I was was with the usb-c until that point smh weird choice by apple.

What is the battery life for the both of them? Stuck between buying an iPad 10th Gen or iPad Air. 10th Gen is cheaper (and comes in yellow), but iPad Air has the Gen 2 Pencil compatibility. I'm a uni student that just needs the pencil for notetaking (not a design or anything heavy student), so I guess battery life I would want to prioritise.

The usb c one will work with lightning iPads - if you have the usb c to lightning adapter. Out of the box? Nope

I just got the gen2 at Best Buy and it didn’t come with any additional tips. The tip it came with is the standard tip (non paper)

I’m considering one as my Apple Pencil has died because it wouldn’t cone t to my iPad, therefore wouldn’t charge and therefore died. So £120 wasted 😢 @apple
