They are very well priced in my opinion. Last year when I bought air 5th gen it costed me about 658 USD (electronic items are expensive in my country) that too after some student discount. New iPad Air starts @ 718 USD that’s a really good deal compared to previous gens.

There are four boxes each with different art. Collectors will pay more for a pencil if the pencil comes with the box. Others collect and keep for the novelty. Just like with first issue or unique sneakers, skateboards, or comics. Some KZbinrs review as a side gig. Some independent of sponsors often buy out of their own pocket. Others might receive sponsorship or just a product request but by reputation give the good the bad and the ugly. --

Only the box is different; you end up with the same pencil pro and then you throw out the box by recycling it and never to see it again, or think of it, why??)

The apple pencils not being backwards compatible is such a waste. If you want to upgrade your iPad, you have to buy a new pencil despite the old pencil being perfectly fine. Apple could easily make all of the apple pencils work on all devices.
