This is the time to explore new crops like hazelnut plants in large numbers in himachal pardesh. These nuts arein high demand in chocolate industry. The best variety of hazelnut plants are in Turkey. Please try to persuade himachal agro universities to propogate hazelnut to increase farmers income manifold. Regards

Hazelnut cultivation sounds interesting. Will definitely find out more about this. Thanks so much for sharing this valuable information. In Himachal, the agro industry is highly unregulated. The farmer invests on land, saplings, manure, pesticides etc; toils hard for months but makes peanuts, the main income is pocketed by the middlemen sitting at the mandi's. So agricultural land is rapidly converting to concrete as tourism is flourishing. We might soon end up importing even our staples! Thanks so much for watching this video and sharing your thoughts.

You can visit Manali any time of the year. Apple season is in Aug-Sep. It snows from Jan-Mar. Best way to reach here is to take a flight to Delhi or Chandigarh and take an overnight HRTC volvo bus (you can book online) to Manali.
