Yes. Also magnetic. It even holds it when folded back so it soesnt dangle around while using the ipad in portrait mode for reading a book or something.

In general third party cases just attach one third of the back, not fully attach. I learned that paying for the case

I definitely like to have the back covered completely in the side so I got like an $11 case and it basically works like the smart cover essentially with a case that Apple used to sell. It’s so unfortunate but I don’t blame Apple for making different cases the way they are because they’re so many parties that cover other options for other people.

Why didn't they incorporate the apple pencil as even an option for their portfolios.... Like... What? I thought apple was attentive to detail... Like literally everyone I know with an ipad... Has it for the pencil... Wtf
