I wonder how many more iPhones they can sell tho, i hear more and more people keeping their iPhone for a year or 2 longer lately. My brother used to want the new one every year until the 12th. It's just such a good phone still. If you buy the 14 now you be okay for at least 3-4 years tbh.

I don’t believe Apple will make up for those lost sales. A lot of ppl will just wait for the iPhone 15 Pro since it’s bound to actually be different and the 14 Pro Hype will be dead in a few months.

Imagine Alphabet/Google and Amazon announcing a merger and becoming one company "Alphazon". Alphazons market cap would still be smaller than Apples market cap. So no, for me, Apple is way too expensive now.

The only worry I have about them is their extreme dependance on China and TSMC for their manufacturing. It adds a geopolitical fragility I'm not comfortable with at this price.

Not if we include their marketable securities. That’s 120 billion. So if they buy treasuries that mature in 5 years (instead of sitting in just cash) we’ll that’s as liquid as cash and should probably be included. Apple includes it in their liquidity numbers so I thought it made sense to include it

Yeah the buybacks can be added to the rate of return. So at 7% you can add 3,5% (i believe their buybacks are about 3,5% a year), so you do end up with 10,5%.

It's really quite simple. You get rich slowly, spend less than you earn insure against disasters and invest wisely if you don't know how it's good to seek expert mentorship or you can just buy and hold an index fund every month and do nothing

I think they gained a lot of traction with the Mac line since they started designing their own chips. So many people i know that didn't really like Apple bought a Macbook with the M1 or M2 chip because it's so good. Like the battery lasts 20 hours or something, it's insane!

Intrinsic value calculations with Apple are a trap because you don’t buy AAPL for its next one year returns. You buy it for its next ten year returns. In both your Apple videos in the last two plus years you’ve calculated a buy price that it has never come close to dropping down to. Meanwhile the returns have been exceptional, and will be even more so for the decade to come.

Since it’s split in 2020, I’ve been buying the stock almost religiously every month. At this juncture, it’s a well run company that keeps innovating-as the author noted, it spends a ton on research and I expect it to produce new products/service in the coming years. It’s still a cheap buy, I believe.

I think apple was much better valued back in June at $130 with a pe of 21ish. Aapl is a cash cow no matter what way you look at it
