being resident of pulwama i want to tell something about shopian.. 1) shopian is also called the Apple town of kashmir.. 2) shupiyan is hence called it because there comes majority of snow in various places.. 3) this is the district where mughals were entered into the kashmir hence they called the road as mughal road.. 4) shopian is the only district in kashmir that had given thousands of sacrifices.. 5) shopian is the only town in kashmir where 15 houses were burnt by army in an encounter (Ahagam).. 6) shopian is that place where Asiya and nelofar was raped and murdered by army in 2009,they are still waiting for justice .. OVERALL SHOPIAN IS LOVE ❤
