Try walking around for an hour using the Quest 3 passthrough, then come BACK to the AVP. You'll see why some folks say it is amazing. Tons of room to improve, I agree. But currently the best thing out there by leaps and bounds, at the time I'm writing this.

I agree with you that it's much better than any other VR headsets, but for most people, it's the passthrough vs reality, and to me there are still tons of room for improvements (even though it's the best to date)

What about the sharpness and resolution while using it in ultra wide mode ? is it like amazing or good enough, I am buying one like in two weeks but this specific feature is a deal breaker for me !
@MrExitStrategy13 күн бұрын
To me it's amazing and is more than enough for what I do including RDP into Windows, Final Cut Pro, web browsing, etc. I really wish Apple would have this feature for demo at their stores so more people can experience it.

@@MrExitStrategy Yeah the sharpness and resolution is a big deal. It's only kind of okay at the moment, but I have been told it's much better with the new update.

You probably found out by now, but you can set your Apple Watch to open your iPhone so you don’t need Face ID or code while wearing Vision Pro.

I'm considering purchasing this for video editing during my travels. Do you believe it's feasible to use it for approximately 6 hours daily? How do your eyes feel afterwards?
@MrExitStrategy25 күн бұрын
I don't think I can do 6 hours straight, but maybe 1 - 2 hours max each session and a 30 minutes break in between would be feasible. Also, consider the size of the carrying case, it does take up a lot of space.

You’ll need a third party comfort solution. My recommendation is Annapro A2. 6 hours in any headset is a lot but plenty do and if it allows you to do your job when away from home, I’m sure you’ll survive and you’ll earn the money back for the cost of the headset very quickly.

@@NeilLavitt Thank you! My biggest concern is eye strain.

I've done 8-10 hour days just using the built in band. (Personally, i just "got used" to it) But I've been messing in VR since the Original Vive so I'm used to having weighty things on the front of my face. . "Eyestrain" is never an issue. (Just like a normal monitor IMO). Comfort can be. The BEST third part mod I have use is the Globular Cluster CMA1 Comfort Mod for AVP. BUT it would probably NOT fit in your standard carry case while attached to the AVP. Mileage may vary. (Sorry about the late response, but this just showed up in my feed today)

I just bought my Vision Pro yesterday and upgraded almost immediately to Vision OS2.2beta. The mac virtual desktop icon never appears for me. I've blown hours trying to figure out why it's not popping for me. I can easily connect normally, but don't get the v2.2 icon on top of my virtual display. Any ideas/pointers would be much appreciated. (Using latest patch level Sequoia on M1 Max Mbp)
@MrExitStrategy2 күн бұрын
Are you able to go to the control center on the AVP and enable mac virtual desktop through there? Sometimes, if the lighting is less than ideal or if the laptop is off angle, the AVP won't recognize it.
@tylerarrigoni77002 күн бұрын
@@MrExitStrategy I can see the connect 'widget' and do a virtual desktop session just fine...but no "v2.2beta' icon with the display options (ultra, etc). It's like Vision OS1 still. Is there a setting that must be enabled somewhere? I can only scale the virtual monitor using the standard aspect ratio.
i wish they allowed us to plug it into a laptop or iphone for computing power instead of having everything in the headset. That would make it less heavy.
@MrExitStrategy25 күн бұрын
I agree, it would be amazing if it was smaller and lighter. Although, I'm not sure how much weight they could shift off of the AVP since it still requires so many cameras and sensors on device, and I think they'd need a chip as close to those components as possible to minimize latency. I'm sure they (or someone) will find a way to miniaturize those components like they've done on computers/phones/etc.
@NeilLavitt23 күн бұрын
It’s would also add latency that is an issue right now. The level of compute in this device is substantial. All of the cameras and eye tracking data would have to move to the computer and then the visual data back. I’m sure they’re working on it but even a millisecond delay would make it difficult to use.
