I love how XREAL has placed the lenses in the correct location on the Beam Pro. I’ve often thought Apple would do the same on the iPhone but it seems like they think their small block of lenses is too iconic of a look to change! I’d love to have this glasses/Beam Pro combo!

Why can't this be an app on your existing phone? I mean, better hardware, no additional device, use existing data plan, easier software support, etc. Just sell the app or have a cheap subscription model in app.

Because technically it is not possible due to content and device fragmentation issue. Other manufacturers dont allow opening app within app.

Completely agree with you but didn't like the subscription model idea, it can be an expensive app. Also, the other comment mentioning that manufactures don't allow opening apps in an app is I think wrong because it would sort of work as a launcher..

To me it feels like the RabbitAI and HumaneAI pin thing that creating a product just for the software doesn't makes sense when you already have a device but as you mentioned the fragmentation issue, yeah that could be a big thing here..

They have an App on existing phones. I have these glasses. But you have a lot of limitations in what you can do. I think people have now over estimated how much Apps can actually do that I see this comment too often when there is a lot of clear signs on limitations an App has

I have the original beam. It's useful. Not great lol. It is useful as my phone doesn't support usb video output, also the beam can be used as a powerbank. Other than streaming videos and using it as a powerbank, i can't do anything else on it.

Nice video-thanks for taking the time to review these incredible Xreal products! This device gives us so many use cases. With the Android store available finally to the Xreal AR 2 Pro glasses, we literally now have millions of them with all of those apps. I’m looking forward to recording some of my sailing trips out on the ocean in 3d spatial. I also like the productivity option offered by Nebula where you can have two desktops side by side. That’s a big one for me. Being able to connect wirelessly to my Xbox at home is also a game changer. I wonder if we will start to see 3D games coming out soon that can be played while using the Xreal glasses and Beam II setup?

It’s truly the ultimate portable display solution. Seamless Connectivity: I’ve used it extensively with Anydesk, and thanks to Windows 11 Pro, I can use Android RDP to log directly into the console. It’s incredibly convenient. Screen Recording Limitation: The screen recording feature seems to be capped at 30 seconds, which might be a setting I haven’t discovered yet. However, this limitation doesn’t apply to 3D recording via the device. The Ultras in my opinion offer Developers. That way they could use the SDK to make applications for hand tracking or enable some of their applications for the hand tracking. They're not many or at all any applications right now that would use the hand tracking of the Ultras as they are still in development.

@@kavonjonesmba Hello, thanks for following up. XREAL Air 2 Ultra has a wider FOV and 3D sensors, however to make the most out of these, compatible apps and programs are required. These aspects are fantastic for AR devs who will create apps and programs that will use these features. That being said, and to reiterate, we won't prevent consumers from purchasing XREAL Air 2 Ultra despite it being more of a tool for developers. You can still get a great experience with XREAL Air 2 Pro, especially with XREAL Beam Pro.

My question is, and I may have to ask XREAL about this, is seeing that this has stereo vision, will the XREAL glases themselves, be able to view the SBS stereo VR display from the Switch. For yes, the Swich has a VR mode. And both the Breath Of The Wild and Mario Odyssey have a VR mode. But you must use a form of google cardboard type VR display, using it's 720p display in split screen to work. And that is not good. If I can get full 1080p in SBS to work on the Switch, with the XREAL, that would be fantastic. Again, I may have to contact XREAL directly about this.

Hello. Thank you for your comment. You may watch spatial content captured by iPhone, however you will need to convert the file format of said content to SBS before it can be played on XREAL Beam Pro. There are several applications that can be used to convert these files.

In other words "no". There is no USB pass-thru for PC, MAC or Switch if that was your use-case...the USB is for charging the Beam PRO only.
