@@ManuelHernandez-tm1mq I'm assuming betweening English and Spanish, something is lost in translation for you. Productivity users are interested in productivity, which means clear screens. That is the baseline for mainstream adoption of this technology "Screens". The vast majority of business users of computer users don't care about games, virtual reality or any of the other fat. The care about working with documents, spreadsheets, software development and internet browsing. Of Course there are users that want to play games and like interacting with avatars and want a computer generated environment instead of the real world, but not me nor do the majority of users. If immersed gets the baseline right "Screens" they can capture the mass market.

What I want to know is how the pass through quality stacks up. That’s one of the main reasons the AVP is so expensive, alongside with it having desktop level processing power. Working with a laptop with the Visor is totally fine, but the pass through absolutely needs to be on par.

Hello @immersed, I'm just starting out as a content creator, I pre-ordered the Founders edition, I feel this devise is gonna be so damn awesome , I'll have my main screen running the game I'm streaming and multiple monitors running all my other web personal pages, Plus I can still see my keyboard , mouse , mic , stream decks etc. I'm hyped , I feel the visor is going to an excellent tool for me to turn my hobby into a career. This reminds me of the Newton versus the Pilot (which would later be renamed Palm). Apple packed a lot of impressive tech into a device that was too big and too expensive for the market. The Pilot went with streamlined tech that served the role while keeping price and size down.

they're not launching it with that capability no. But it seems as though it's going to be like open source practically which is kind of lit as fuck. so assuming that the hardware is good and people use it, u can probably safely assume that modders will have it doing whatever it is you think it should do within a few months. But I don't think ita general releas is until late this year or maybe early next year so it wouldn't be until around then.

I like your app a lot, have done quite a bit with it while traveling. Honestly, you guys are the only reason the Quest Pro was ever usable for anything but gaming. The app library and the ridiculously clean ui/ux of the vision pro is very, very hard to compete with, though. I'll likely still use Immersed for a lot of things, and I'll no doubt maintain a gaming rig, but I'm pretty excited to see Apple's offering. I do think there is massive opportunity, though, for less expensive alternatives. As most standalone headsets are android based, I was always baffled why there wasn't access to the play store available. AR isn't everything, and I've never minded being closed off from the world in my quest pro. That's part of the point. Not needing to have a laptop with me is going to be a big deal, though. I'm curious to see if nvidia go or other game streaming services might work while I'm away from home.

Yes. You still get all the features of Immersed without the subscription. You still have to purchase at least a year if subscription as it comes bundled with he price but after that you're free to not renew it with no penalties besides not being able to access the premium only features.

@@codygarcia9296 I think I'm good. I've heard those rumors and they make no sense. Why would a company who has a large market share in a field and is doing well try to scam people for much less money than they're already making...? They would loose far more than they'd gain by it. On top of that, why would so many big names attach themselves to it and potentially loose millions of dollars due to the bad PR? That's not including that they're promising delivery in a matter of months from now. If someone wanted to scam, that would be super dumb. The smart scammers that use platforms like Kickstarter always drag things out for a few years, the reason being is that they know anyone who used a CC just has to complain and it will be a chargeback. The limit on that is generally between 2-3 years. Do I think it's going to be buggy in the beginning due to the extremely rushed timeline? absolutely, they were still making hardware changes a few months ago. I'm willing to put up with some bugs to get one as soon as possible though, that's why I went for founders edition.

Vision air will be much thinner and even battery attachment for back , it's basically not 4k per eye for one , they will either use a simple touch Id for the one, the extra res loss helps the m2 cope and makes games easier to develop for the vision air , I like to sprinkle the future here and there

Not for gaming. No controllers, no base station, no builtin support for external controllers and no support for SteamVR or anything of the sort. It's completely open so the community could hack in support but you'd still need to purchase your own compatible controllers and base station separately when and if that happens.

On the Immersed Linux compativility though, you need to point the caviat that you cant create virtual screens in the Immersed software like you can in Windows or Mac. You need to either have another monitor plugged in or use a monitor emulator so that Linux thinks it has another monitor to only then be able to stream this monitor into Immersed

I would be less concerned if people would not claim high visual clarity on the likes of the QPro while I regard it as “eye cancer”. @@damiengvideos4337 from my understanding as a user and digging through chats threads and blog posts, the OS is the application that runs on the quest and other headsets. They are expanding features on the application that fill in missing os features like they are building a native web browser. I assume it will support PWA applications out the door, and part it is open source so side loading apps and modifications is very possible with the support of the dev community. Also there is a rumor that you will be able to build your own rooms and spaces. Currently the app has quite a few premade spaces. Hope that helps a little.

For VISOR USERS, what’s the difference between the Immersed Pro subscription and the Visor+ Membership? - Will the Visor normally run Immersed Free (3 screens) or Immersed Pro (5 screens)? - Since the Visor+ Membership comes with Visor pre-orders, is that membership the reason the Visor has 5 virtual screens which would revert to 3 screens if the Visor+ membership isn’t renewed?

I'm sooo close from preordering the founders edition... My main use would be 1. media consumption, 2. working and 3. gaming. What's the latency in wired mode? And is the image going through compression like on oculus/pico? Same latency as USB-C mode that we already offer, but is pretty much instantaneous (sub 10ms). It's not like wireless compression on Quest/Pico.

I would be worried about extra latency connecting to motherboard of a PC where the image has to be transferred from gpu back to cpu's igpu, I'm guessing, to output it through usb-c (whether is displayport or something else). I could be wrong here as I don't have the technical know-how

It is surprising to me that that much graphics information could pass along any peripheral connection that isn’t a dedicated GPU without hiccups or loss. I’m also somewhat confused as to why VR headsets don’t accept input directly from HDMI/DP.

Unfortunately we can’t because the chip doesn’t support that in conjunction with running it as a standalone device. It can only be built to do one or the other. So we chose the standalone approach because that has way more capability.

While yes, as they've said you can use it directly with your smart phone, keep in mind both devices currently need to be connected to the same wifi network. Maybe you can get away with a hotspot but that's yet to be seen. Worst case you might need to carry around a travel router and battery pack just in case to have some form of LAN.

I love the energy you are hoping to create with this video. The approach is great and I really want to trust you guys. But many things still seem off. - Why do you never show the computing unit of the Visor? I'm all in for having a lightweight device and carrying the battery and CPU strapped via cable in my pocket or strapped to my body or whatever idea you've got for it. But you seem quite laconic about it. It's like it does not exist. And we all know it's gotta be somewhere, we all know it's not in the goggles itself. It's actually a good thing, why hide it? I'm all for external computing & power units for XR goggles. - Immersed app rocks. I use it on Quest 3. All I lack is resolution. Visor seems to either be an absolute blast or an absolute flop. When will you give us a hint about release date? Screw release date, give us realease quarter at least. You compare it to Vision Pro, but will you make it before Vision Pro 2? (I bet you will, but you get my point) - Josh, you are awesome. Keep those videos coming. The quality you want to offer and hype you are trying to generate in comparison to how transparent you are about the product makes it either look like a scam or like you are trying to hide some obvious downside of the Visor. And I don't want to believe that, I'm really keen on finding out Visor is freakin ballin and look forward to getting one myself.

First and foremost it's a productivity device meant to provide multiple screens for working. You'll be able to use it for VR videos and a big media consumption yes but the batteries only last 2-3 hours.
