I absolutely love my Apple Watch 7. I am 50 years old and I have never wanted to wear a watch but, this watch is amazing. I use it when I hike, it works so well while driving and navigating using Apple maps because I don't need to glance down at my phone to see where I am at in relation to my destination. I can glance on my wrist while driving, much safer. I went into settings on my iPhone (apple watch app) and set dock to favorites so I can quickly get to the apps I use all of the time. Nice video, new sub

5:26 - The red flashlight mode is useful at night because it allows you to see while not resetting your night vision. Like when you get up at 3 am and you don't want to walk into the end of the bed or step on your shoes or something. It also helps a lot during stargazing.
@criyzx2 жыл бұрын
5:28 the red color is not for an sos signal, it’s a softer flashlight that is less distracting to others. This is because red is the least distinguishable color for the human eye, while green has the most detectable shades for the human eye. (That’s why military night vision googles show shades of green, it’s the best shade to do it in)

Congrats! It’s actually a lesser known “secret” feature of the 7 series, it can detect the age of anyone over 100 which automatically unlocks the “life force” mode quite literally providing up to 50% energy boost when you start feeling especially tired. The watch’s “Cupid mode” will make you feel sexy but the phone battery will take a pretty big hit. Enjoy & well done for reaching such an impressive age. Hope you make it to the big 200 to qualify for a state funded body mind transplant 😄 Next thing you know you’ll be good for another 3-500 years 🎉😄👋🏻🎈

4:38 - and if you press and hold this button, iPhone will not only make a signal, but also flash a light, which gives an additional convenience to search, especially in darker conditions. 5:27 - Red tone is used by fishermen, astronomers and just at night this tone is not as disturbing to others as the white background, and your eyes do not go out of sleep mode. There are many videos and articles on this subject. 5:58 - Here you can rotate the Digital Crown to move quickly between the different watch faces. You can also change the order of the watch faces here by dragging them. I also really like the ability to quickly move up to the top of lists or long menus by simply tapping the top edge of the screen, just like on an iPhone. And it is not necessary to tap the arrow in the upper left corner to return to the previous menu. Just swipe from the left edge of the screen, again, just like on the iPhone.

I am a mechanical watch afficionado, but have just ordered an Apple Watch Series 7 GPS - so I am very anxious to see if the Apple Watch will be able to compete for wrist space with my other watches (I do NOT like double wristing) 🙂 I have had one of the first Apple Watches before, but found that it just was not a worthwhile trade-up compared to my mechanical watches, so I sold it again. However I do also use a Garmin Fenix watch for work-out, running etc. I have been an iPhone user for more than a decade and will never go back to Android or any other system - same goes for computers, where my MacBook is just a part of my daily life. So I am hoping that the new Apple Watch Series 7 with the latest Watch OS will bring this all together and making it worthwhile for me to put on my wrist instead of my other watches (at least most of/some of the time) 🙂

Just so you know, the red light feature of the flashlight is definitely not an SOS signal. As light travels through space, it becomes red shifted. That's why the further away a distant star, the more 'red' it appears, as the light has red shifted. Red shifted light does not travel NEARLY as far as white light which will have to still go through the entire red shifting process as it travels through space and time. That's why, when in the field / training / deployments, in the Military we use no light at all or RED lights only. You can not see red lights NEARLY as far away as a white light.

All these videos about the possible uses of Apple watch are far from changing my life. The only thngs I found useful are it tracking my sleep and waking me up with haptic without any noise but obvşously I need to wear it while sleeping which is kinda too much I think, being able to control the camera would be cool I thought but it literally lags and the screen is so small that you can't even tell if you are taking a good photo, I can't read a book with it at least not using the apple books app. Still figuring out for sure if you have any apps to recommend I'd be willing to try'em out.

I haven't found a watch face yet on which the second hand or seconds (digital) does not disappear and reappear. I can't even rely on the timer to always display seconds. Is there any remedy for this?

Is that the nomad leather band? I just got mine a little while ago at Best Buy
@DionMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hi Logan, the nomad leather band sounds great, but the one shown is the standard silicone midnight band that came with the watch

NOPE. I have a Series 7 and your "left to right" on the watchface didn't send me to different options. It merely blackened my screen. Also, you didn't show how to navigate out of certain screens and back to the main screen.

I thought all the controls were on the right side of the watch

HI, this is how you orient your watch. I turn the watch around so it is more accessible and in my case it means on the left side

Kinda confusing you hold the Apple watch upside down… 😉 - Seems the display can rotate, didn‘t know…
@DionMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hi Stefan, quite a few remarks on this :). I am left-handed, therefor wear my watch on my right wrist. Apple does support different orientations of the watch display that can be adjusted in your Apple Watch app on your Iphone:)
@EvilsBane4272 жыл бұрын
@@DionMedia you should have explained this in the video at the beginning when you say "this is the left side and this is the right side" because more people are right handed it looks confusing to us how you just act like that is the truly normal way for the watch to be oriented. I have a friend who is left handed and also wears his watch on his right hand so I caught on pretty quickly, but as I saw in the comments, there are a lot of older people that aren't going to realize this, wear it on their left hand and have a much harder time using the watch because you inadvertantly told them to wear it upside down. I have worked in phone sales, and stupid blunders like that with baby boomers were the bane of my existance!

I got the series 6 and just upgraded to 7, but i notice that the battery life on 6 is much longer than the 7. same complications and everything. is that ok or there are other settings to save battery?
@DionMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hi Benj, thanks for sharing your experience. I have not owned a 6 myself, but according to research and feedback I receive from other users battery life should be the same, if not slightly better. I am sure you do, but be always up to date with the upgrades. Also the simple switching on and off could help. My tips in the video should help as well. You can consider to switch of the “permanent on” mode, but actually this is a very nice feature to have. Good luck!
@kungfupeachez2 жыл бұрын
I ended up turning off the always on display and my battery lasts so much longer. Now it only turns on when I raise my wrist to look at it and I prefer it like that.
