i watch many reviews of different smart watch, and still ending up buying the apple series watch, for some reason, apple watch is so elegant in all aspect, the screen are very smooth, and it syncronize on my iphone12pmax perfectly, and the extra buck i paid for is somehow i believe for the built quality of this watch, coz ive seen some people whos still wearing their old apple 3 series watch up to this day and still doing good, i believe that my watch will last longer and stay smooth even years to come. and beside. all my android phone are really suck, in just 2-3 yrs they are bad, so lag and so slow, my iphone12promax is still smooth as new as far as i remember until today and not encountering any problem.

@@leoluzares6790 Same happens to me, and I don't use Apple products, I still using my beautiful Samsung Galaxy S10+ along with my S21+ and I have friends still using Galaxy Watch 1 and 2. What you mentioned apply for both sides. The thing is if you have other Apple devices, the choice is obvious. But not the whole world uses them only. Specially tech reviewers, they have a superb open mind. 👌

@@errorpeaky1488 $400 vs $200? um.. no, it doesn't. Even the Galaxy 4 Classic at $350 is a better deal AND you get the rotating dial for more control options. For most, the difference in software features isnt worth that jump in price. I also dont agree that the gestures on the apple watch make it better as it seems like it would be overly easy to falsely trigger them, making it a disadvantage in my book.

Slight disagreement on the band comparison - Apple may be a little easier, but you have to get a band with the proprietary connection. With Samsung you can use any standard watch band. So it is subjective, but I would give the win to Samsung, or at least make it a tie.

The wristband win for apple is easily weighed up by the fact that the Samsung watch is compatible with universal wristbands. I could take and old watchband and use that on my Samsung watch. I would say that's worth more than slightly faster swapping

It's very common that they understate the amount of options for customisation and difference in price classes etc if you go with the competition. However, by saying that I don't mean to understate the efficiency of iOS nor apples new chipsets. I just think it's weird that reviewers don't have as a habit to analyse products they review from more than just a couple perspectives

i got the Galaxy Watch 4 46mm Classic at launch to use with my S21 Ultra and now using the Series 7 45mm with iphone due to work commitments. Tbh, the 46mm was amazing. i often got double takes and people complimenting. Notifications was better and the rotating bezel was a game-changer. The Series 7 is a great watch but tbh if the Watch 4 worked well on the iphone, i would prefer that. Google Assistant and Google Pay was just better. Also the unlimited watchfaces was a major win.

@@eccologg How did you do it?? I changed it probably 50 plus times and I cant see any cratches at all, and that with the normal aluminium version. Btw. this is the same mechanism as normal luxory watches have and it is pretty easy. Watch a video if you dont know how but than if you still cant do it, I have to say that you are simply too clumsy to solve a simple task like that.

One thing that people forget is that the Galaxy watch is a lot more repairable than the Apple watch. It is user battery swappable which is a huge win and a fact that in the classic model, which is still cheaper than the Base apple watch there is a stainless steel crown that protects the screen and provides much-needed durability to the watches. I think I have seen a lot of broken apple watch to see that as a huge benefit.

I have both and noticed that the apple watch is much more expensive. Also, I had the previous galaxy watch and traded it in for the new one. The trade in value was good and Samsung even added an extra $100 dollars in credit making the total purchase a fraction of the price compared to the apple watch.

My watch is recent. Got it a few weeks old. I must say that I’ve been a lot more productive since I’m not having to look away from my computer screen when I get a notification or message or whatever. I just tilt my wrist, the notification pops up I check it and then move on lol Kudos to the smart Watch. I’d struggle using just a clock now 🙈

You forget about some features that Samsung watch have 1. heart ECG monitor 2. Blood pressure monitor (yes, you heard me right! SGW4 has a built-in BP monitor) 3. Generic watch band pins, so you can get any watch band you like on SGW4 4. Price is lower almost half the price 5. Can work with any phone all you need is wearable app on the device 6. Google assistant is now on SGW4 as for may 2022

I’ve always had a Note and now the S22 Ultra, and the S Pen has always gestures from it and navigation, something that Apple has yet to figure out. Taking hand written notes and watching them be translated into type is amazing. Not on Apple’s iCamera.

T-Mobile had the Galaxy Watch 4 for $0 down and $0 per month on their "T-Mobile Tuesdays" Special in the U.S. 5/31/2022, so I went with that watch. Not a Apple fan (daughter is and boy has it cost us plenty), but it's disturbing/strange that Samsung is moving away from SD memory upgrade card slots in their newer phones and only having a sim card tray. Basically, doing what Apple has done forever. Internal memory only 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB built in. Maybe the new Snapdragon chip(s) doesn't or can't access SD/TF cards? Great review Hayls.

As an EE major I can’t help but enjoy the hardware and design of the Samsung smart watch more than apples smart watch. Regrettably, I won an iPhone 13 pro… so the choice is obvious as to what watch I would go for However, once I slowly build more capital, I plan on also owning more Samsung related products… personally always felt that Samsung has tried more on changing their design every so often to compliment their hardware (even if some weren’t that great) … it’s very annoying and difficult to come up with great designs that everyone can enjoy on a year to year basis… long story short, this is also why Apple doesn’t change the look of their products so much (or at all) anymore… designing something new (even if it’s only slightly) takes courage and has risks. Hopefully any Apple fan boy can appreciate that Samsung at least tries to change it up every now and then compared to Apple Edit: When I was referring to the Samsung smart watch, I was referring to the Samsung 4 smart watch Classic lol, it has much better hardware

You forgot one category: Price. The galaxy watch 4 starts.at around 280 while the apple watch starts at 400. The apple watch only works with iPhones while the galaxy watch 4 works with anything running android. Or anything with Google play store.

Apple straps are easier to put on but forgot to mention that you have so many more straps to choose from with the galaxy on the fact you can use all your old watch straps instead of buying straps for only Apple Watch

I also have an android phone so I'm getting the galaxy watch 4 because the truth is you don't really have a choice because the apple watch is unusable without an iPhone and the galaxy watch 4 is unusable without an android phone. I hate that you have to be locked in a stupid ecosystem for this stuff but both sides have decided that's how smart watches other that Fitbits are gonna be.
