I do ovulate and I find the cycle predictions with the Series 7 to be near perfect in accuracy. I bought the 8 because I am a sucker for shiny things but I think it's going back and I'll just keep my 7. My iPhone 14 Pro can handle crash detection.

I do have an Apple Watch SE the 1st generation back in early April 2022. I still liked it. It was an upgrade from using series 2 one for almost a couple years. I still have and even series 1. Those 2 that I bought A’s refurbished. I bought the SE one at Target in space grey. I got it in 40mm so that I can used the bands that I already have for it.

You’ll turn off always on display within a week, because it does nothing but drain 2x battery. Basically, why you need display to be turned on when you’re not looking at it? Wake up feature does all that’s needed.

On the UK website and Europe , it states Bluetooth 5.0 for the 8 and SE. Only the Ultra was marked as having 5.3. That was bugging me that everyone was saying they all had it. The US and Asia Pacific does say 5.3 though. So something is not right here.

Not sure if anyone noticed, in US, aw8 is bluetooth 5.3, but in Canada or UK's apple website, the spec shows bluetooth 5.0 for aw8 standard version, 5.3 for ultra only. Not sure why there is different spec for different country.

WWill the Car Crash Detection on the watch work in the Winter in north eastern states and other cold states where people wear winter coats with thick sleeves. The microphone won't be capable of hearing the car glass breaking. I'm not sure that the Barometric pressure sensor would detect changes in cabin pressure due to the thickness of the coat sleeve. The upgraded gyroscope and accelerometer should work, but will the algorithm dial 911 without the other inputs. What do you think? Thanks

Something to mention is that the se2 (in 44mm) is a lot lighetr than the 7/8 in 45, which is a nice thing for sports, but it also has a less resistant glass (at least in the specs)

Does the s8 measure water temperature when swimming? That's a really important metric, especially when calculating calories. This and roaming is really something I hated my s6 for lacking. Makes it really useless on a beach in Europe. No data and can't tell you the water temperature which would be such an obvious feature. I'll keep my s6 but glad they added those. Also have the black titanium s6 which looks awesome and like new after 2 years, sad they discontinued it.

Thanks for this video. It’s interesting that when you were comparing the SE2 and AW8 you kept saying the 8 was a little more money. Am I doing my math correctly, because to me it seems like you can get two SE2s for the price of the Apple Watch 8? Discounted series 7 cellular for my preteen. Would have gotten the SE because of the crash detection but I made the purchase in Sep when school started 😞 he mostly uses the music app, text, phone and Apple Pay for his allowance. Wish Google maps worked without an iPhone

Nope, S7/SE and the S8 have the same brightness which is 1000nits. If u want brighter u need to get ultra which doubles to 2000nits tho. Hope this helps =D

Had that series 8 preordered but got cancelled and had to reorder but found that blue 44 mm series 7 on sale for over 60 bucks less so I’m a little disappointed i did that get to open that midnight series 8 yesterday but got the blue 7 coming in the morning so should be just as good and theres even better deals out there now the starlight was another 40 dollars cheaper actually its 105 dollars less than the 8 right now but i still went blue matches my iphone 12…. But then i found the midnight even cheaper and was a little upset but 🤷🏼 good deal still

I feel like the Series 7 came out so late around December 2021 when friends starting getting there orders. I decided to upgrade my series 3 to an SE 2020 edition at the time. Now I have a weird verdict on the apple watch in general. The series 6, & 7 share the same chipset but the series 6 models did not get a keyboard. The series 5 and SE 2020 share the same chipset and did not get keyboards either. Now I am super annoyed because the SE 2022 should get that feature of the keyboard since it lacks all the sensors and makes it less than the 8, or 7, & 6 models. I think if you want or purchase an SE 2022 model its pointless now, when you can get a series 7 around $300. When you leave out the sensors of ecg, oxygen and the keyboard typing and the screen is just as big on the bigger models for a keyboard it makes it less desirable. The 8 doesnt really bring enough improvements over the 7 just like the 7 vs the 6. So I was really excited to see what the watches would entail, but this isnt it. Im glad I watched this, because now I know stay away from the SE line. Go for a Series 7 since its cheaper with the features I want.

I’m torn between the S7 (on an Amazon deal) and the SE 2. I’m not mad into fitness but I’m liking the fact the screen goes to the edges and the always on display. Then again does that matter as the SE 2 will be slightly cheaper and have most things I want. I’m a diabetic so will set up a complication that shows my blood sugar on the face so not sure it AOD would be better for this or not matter. Help!!!

Believe me, you don’t need always on display. Also, S7 screen is noticeably unresponsive because of this thick curved glass. At the end of the day, all that matters is screen size, battery life and amount of sensors.

Gosh the pricing here in Australia is simply daylight robbery compared to the States! Thought you might find it interesting to hear what these models cost down under..The SE 2 starts at A$399 (A$479 w/cellular). The Series 8 starts at A$629 (A$789w/cellular). We don’t have the Series 7 anymore, just those two plus the Hermes (numerous cases and straps) and finally the Ultra which starts at A$1299 and automatically comes w/cellular. I’m tempted by an Apple Watch for medical reasons but I also need a new iPad and a new laptop first so I’m having to prioritise. I’m about to go watch some of your posts on the latest releases as I need help deciding what’s best to replace my iPad Air2....yes I really do still have an Air2!!! Wait til you read the next paragraph... If you have any advice on getting photos off an iPhone and onto an external storage device without using a computer can you please point me in the right direction? I’m looking for clarification that my plan to connect my ancient iPhone6+ (I kid you not) to a Sandisk Extreme Portable SSD via a powered USB Hub will work. I can’t get my mobile to sync with my iMac for some reason and I have 12k worth of extremely sentimental family photos and videos on my phone that I can’t afford to lose. I have a question, I can buy the Apple watch Se 44mm for 299 and I can also buy the 41mm Series 7 for 330, which one would you recommend? Is it worth spending 30 euros more for the series 7 but less size? Thanks.

There have been many deals on brand new 45mm apple watch 7 bluetooth version for $300 on Amazon and Walmart. I don't know why the 41mm is usually higher priced.
