If you're video gamer geek or don't do any outdoor activities or totally clueless about this watch, then yeah! It's a waste of money if you didn't do any research on it & buy it just because. Like Mike said, this watch is a convenience for notification & not an essential. On the other hand, if you're into fitness & like to keep track of your progress. The sport watch is perfect.
