I’m so happy to have found this interview. This character was so intriguing and I completely fell in love with it. Watching it develop etc. I didn’t think I was going to be able to watch season 2 and watch him die with receiving so little for the burdens he carried and the sacrifices he made. Of course I had to go find the book so I could know the ending. And I was heartbroken. But because of Tan Jianci’s take on Xiang Liu thaf He fulfilled his mission and found love with the person he should love. He completes the other person and completes himself. Now I think I possibly might be able to watch season 2.
