This is a speeded up crossing of the Applecross Pass to crunch down the boring bits so that instead of the 40 minutes it is just over 20 and rather than listening to road noise and conversations. This winding single track road through the mountains of the Applecross peninsula is also know as Bealach na Bà.
I have added some of my songs to the mix. So I hope that you like both the video and the music and please follow me on Facebook - / johnrlhuntermusic or on Instagram - / johnrlhunter or visit my website where you can find my songs, lyrics and what inspired them.
I have received some comments stating that they don’t like the music. Well I don’t like the music on many videos on KZbin. I don’t comment on the choice of music chosen. They have taken time to share a bit of them and I am grateful. The music is mine, and this may be old fashioned but if you have nothing nice to say. Don’t say anything at all! Just move on and find something that you do like.

Remember doing this stunning road back in 1980’s in an old 240 Volvo with 200.000 plus miles on clock loved the trip came up from Sussex and went right round Scottish coast 3,ooo mile in all with a few deviations to visit places we wanted to go. Wonder how the ev brigade would fair doing that, think a bit of mileage anxiety would set in. We took the scenic minor roads most often and fuel stations weren’t exactly frequent let alone looking for a charging point

Since we discovered this drive it’s been top of our “Must Do” list each time we’ve had the pleasure of visiting Scotland. Hi Gwendolyn, I was driving a Skoda Karoq. People as you can see do take these on the road, but those bends are quite tight and you may need to reverse. I was driving along that stretch mid week outside of school holidays at just gone 9 in the morning and you can see how busy it was. Watch my second video which covers the second half of the journey as it shows how the traffic was building. Although in April it may not be so bad, as long as the weather stays good for you. I cannot believe how lucky we were with the weather. Although we were helped by the fact that we set off at 9 am. This year we travelled up to Sutherland. This is a majestic place that everyone should visit, or maybe not. The roads are not built for it, never mind trying to find somewhere to eat. I love only 3 places in the world, Scotland, New Zealand and Rome. Scotland is the closest for me.
