And that's how we dont easily forgive, we all want a genuine little "Sorry" not someone who'd just do stuff to make you forgive them Sure pride gets in our way, but inside, we all just need a "Sorry" that came from the heart, and a lot of people dont really understand that, hence the "ego" or pride you're talking about That's exactly what this guy did to AJ, and thankfully AppleJack did the right thing. I don't think he's mad at just her: he's mad at ponies in general, and he's taking out his frustration on her. It's okay if you're not the same way, but I'd be a little suspicious after a bunch of them repeatedly beat me up and nearly killed me. One person (or pony, in her case) can change a lot, but they gotta face the front their species put up first. Sorry, Jack. It's not you, specifically. In real life, there are plenty of examples for this. In MLP? Just look the whole NMM shebang. 1000 years, and Luna was still mad at Celestia.
