I've cut ordinary copier paper on the "Sublimation Paper" setting and it worked great. I wanted to try out the print and cut feature as a test without wasting sticker paper. I used a blue "Light Grip" mat, (but had to try to make it less sticky with my hand and some thicker card beforehand). Incidently I tried out the "Print then Cut" BEFORE calibrating my machine (I wanted to see how far out the cut would be) and it worked perfectly without any calibration. Later I upgraded the firmware and tried it again and it still worked perfectly. I see lots of posts from folk struggling with the calibration, but maybe they should just try it first.and only calibrate if necessary.

Hi great tips and good to know Ive not had time to test out the print and cut yet, and ive also not calibrated my machine either, both are on my todo list. thanks for letting everyone know though.

This seems much more complex than using the scan n cut. Is it really that much better?

Hi no more complex, you create your design or import it into the software as we do in CW and then send it to the machine just as we do in CW, the beauty of this software is you can cut by colour/section so you can choose how to cut multiple colours all from one file
