Thanks for this video. I've been working on the computer version, not realizing there was a difference! I did open the online version once and noticed it was different but didn't know why it was that way! lol I've seen the different versions in videos I've watched but thought the difference was when SNCWorkspace became Canvas Workspace! I still don't know the differences in them but I'll learn that! Thanks for all you do and hope to see you tomorrow live if you do a live! I'll still be in bed! lol

Hi you’re welcome they are basically the same program they just look slightly differently depending on whether you are using the online or the computer version. The computer version has a couple more features that the online doesn’t have and you can also use all the fonts installed on your computer with the computer version so it’s personal preference really which one you use or find easiest to use. Yes I am going to try and do the live tonight Sunday and make the trifold flower card hopefully should be around about 5 pm UK time

I want to tell you, after you last video..I got an SVG file and put it on a handy drive, plugged into my scan n cut and cut it out! I was so excited! I may not throw the machine out just yet. Mind you have not figured out to put the download into my canvas workspace.

Thats great well done, some SVG can be a pain but most are OK. what do you mean about Canvas?

Hi Ashley The other version of this Canvas is easier as the symbols are the same as the ones on the SDx scan n cut machine so how do i get the web version cheers Di

Thanks great video! I can’t get my computer to talk to my machine followed prompts for wlan- won’t connect also have cable and doesn’t register to machine so frustrating! Brand new cable then tried downloading onto usb stick- also. Unsuccessful! Today going to delete all and try from from scratch through your website don’t have a Mac just pc

Go to CW online and before you log in theres a big black button that says download, thats the download version and it works for both Mac & Windows

The download version does not seem to be available. Clicked the link but all that seems to be available is updates for the machine and link software allowing you to link Adobe to the sdx 900.

To get the download you have to go to canvas workspace online and before you log in there is a big black button that says "download windows/Mac" thats it, just download and install it and then you log in with the same user name and password that you have for the online version.

I already did what you have said but the only downloads available were a software update for the machine and an application to link adobe illustrator direct to the machine. There was no link to download canvas workspace. My wife already has the download version on her computer upstairs but she got that a couple of years back.

@@applelover53 Thanks again, I think the problem was that I signed into my wifes canvasworkspace account first. As she already has canvas workspace on her computer it was not giving the link to the download. This time I just went through the same procedure but without signing into my wifes account and the canvasworkspace download link was available. I'm happy to say it's downloaded successfully. Keep up the good work, your videos are very helpful, well explained and much appreciated.

I use the online version the most only use the download if i need to use a font on my computer, or if i want to use the XY axis placement, theres a video on that, thanks

No, only the online version can be used on a mobile device like a phone or tablet

Hi im really sorry but i just dont know what you are having a problem with. The online web based Canvas Workspace can be open in an internet browser on computer/laptop/mobile device. The Download/Computer Canvas Workspace can only be used on a computer or laptop hope that clarifies thank you

Hi. I have the PC version of Canvas. Can I have the online version as well? If so, how/where do find the download? When I go to Brother Canvas on the Internat, it automaticcaly brings up my downloaded version. I purchased the embossing kit but it seems that I need the Online version of Canvas to activate or use the patterns that came with the kit.

You can use the online version on your ipad although i think its clunky not as easy to use, just my opinion you can only download the download version to a computer/laptop as you have to physically install it onto those machines

You have to buy an activation card for the set you want to unlock, once activated you can use the designs.

@@applelover53 I bought the ScanNCut Online Activation card, and I'm still not allowed to use them, and when says to "introduce the numbers" of the card, mine has letters, no numbers.

The activation cards usually have a silver strip that you rub off to expose the code, you go online into canvas and activate it. other than that i cannot help im afraid, you will need to speak to whoever you bought the activation card from i dont work or have anything to do with Brother sorry. No you can just use the canvas workspace for web but there are certain functions that are only available in the download program so it depends how you use the program and that will determine which one to use I tend to mostly start off in canvas workspace for web but for certain projects I will use the PC version
