This is fabulous. You are so knowledgeable. This is a bit too advanced for me right now but lots of different elements that I could use separately. Thanks for sharing.

Hi there, The basic shape that you used is found in the scan n cut page 12 BA-A175. I would think it is found in your cm900 as it would be in the American Brother scanncut cm650w.With that said I too have it in my CM550/CM550dx. As I have the 12 pages of basic shapes. For those of you that have the lesser design models with 10 pages of basic shapes Ashely has shown you how to create that shape. There for you now have a new shape to add to your basic shapes. Good on you Ashley for designing this Mum Day Card. I too have ink scape the free version. I find it a bit advance for me so therefore I am practicing with it. Sure Cuts a lot is also I think advanced in comparison to scan n cut canvas and I myself was not crazy about it. With that said there is a free trial version. Then you have to buy it. Very well done a lot to do to make that card. Good on you Ashley. I really think you or Brother should contact you as an ambassador and spokes person for the U.K. I think you are unbelievable with the knowledge that you have with all the programs. You can even do the embroidery design using the software Simply Applique as your machine and the cm650w and my CM550/550dx are read embroidery files ready. I do not believe you can do it straight forward with out that software program. I have priced it out but for me it would be very expensive and I do not embroidery enough to warrant that expense. I did enjoy this video and will give it a practice try just to get more familiar with Inkscape. Have a Happy evening. Fawna

Hi, yes the shape i used was from the machine directly, but i wanted to show how it could be made in canvas or on the machine for that matter by welding 2 simple shapes together. I have Embrilliance Essentials for my embroidery machine and with that you can make ScanNCut cut files for appliqué with just one click of a button, its very easy to do. I have a video on my channel it will be in the EE or Janome playlist

Yes I have seen your awesome video on Embrilliance Essentials. I then looked on Amazon for it . I'm not sure if it works with windows 10. I did not see that information. It is cheaper then the Simply applique from Brother by leaps and bounds. I have a singer embroidery sewing machine Futura 4in1. I can read the pe and pes files along with Janome and Husqvarna files Brother files and more. I usually just use the xxx files to embroider. I did get a lot of software programs to use with my singer. Fonts photo etc. I use my machine with my computer as I can hook it up to the computer via a usb cable. I think the Simply Applique is to pair up the Brother dream machine with the scan n cut. Singer has come out with a new Embroidery machine called the Legacy that now uses the USB stick like the Brother machines do. Thank you Ashley I really hope that Brother sees all that you do to promote there Scan n Cut. You would be such an asset to that company. But for the mean time my friend please keep doing what you are doing. You have help me and I would think so many others with your video. Again you have a great evening and I will look forward to your next video. Fawna

The birthday card appears to have some different elements. I would like to see that one, please!

PSD is a Photoshop file, usually with everything on separate layers (not always, but often) which can be very useful (it can also be opened in Photoshop Elements). TFS xx
