one of the things that doesn’t get talked about enough is how kendrick fosters his relationship with the listener. kendrick has spent a decade now ensuring that the listener receives the best version of him and he’s prided himself on that. when u see a kendrick drop, u stop everything you’re doing to listen because he has worked so hard to earn that trust from the listener and i think THAT is what seperates him from everyone else.

I know a lot of y’all depend on lyric sites like Genius, but you need to accept they are not 100% accurate. On Tv OFF, he is NOT saying turn THIS Tv off. He is saying TURN HIS TV OFF. First verse says Hey turn HIS TV off. Ain't with my type activities? Then don't you get involved. We know HIS = Drake and anyone else like Wayne or angry Drake fans who said they won’t watch. Turn HIS Tv Off!!!
@fizzychizzyАй бұрын
YES. He basically saying to the naysayers that they are going to have to turn their TV off cause he is coming through regardless so they should just look away. I think this is cemented in the final line when he says that he is coming to NO with that LA swag yelling Mustard. He coming through as himself. If you don't want to see it, turn that TV off. You have a problem with him doing the superbowl in NO, well turn your TV off.

Ok. Thought that was just me. I love music history so “yes, please” to sharing the correct pronunciation to Dinah Washington‘a name. Love that Kendrick is inspiring this kind of deep dive into music history.☺️

All I am going to say this is an unprecedented run in hip hop and we will probably never see something like this again. Kendrick has solidified himself as one of the greats, no debate.

From destroying the battle to Superbowl. Gnx album and now tour. 🤯Kdot is a mad genius. No one is touching him rn. Drake supporters have gone into hiding. Can't wait to see the things he will continue to do for hip-hop and the culture. I luv it👑
