Gold was released the day I got into a car accident. I was on my way to work. Excited for the new album. The day started amazing! Someone side swiped me when I didn't have insurance at the time. It was a week before my birthday. Immediately after having a panic attack, I came by to my car and "Things Will Get Better" was consoling me. I stuck to that song like white on rice since. A lot of people already said similar things but I also want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Cleo. I have been and still going through really tough times, and carry the traumas of the childhood still with me. Her music, the way she sees herself, and the way she basically shows the light, it is so beautiful. Whenever I feel down, hopeless, alone, neglected and abandoned; I just listen to her. Her voice, the way she sings, it is so sincere that I feel seen and heard. I also cry a lot, I also experience all my emotions intensely. It is so nice to know that I am not a lone, WE are not alone.
