I will always remember the first time I saw Selena, I was 13 and flipping through a magazine and saw her face for a split second, and I stopped immediately, frantically flipping back page by page until I found her page again and just was so blown away by how gorgeous she was. Her smile was so genuine, reaching all the way up to her sparkling eyes, and she was just pure elegance and beauty. Shortly after she became the youngest UNICEF ambassador and I just kept being more impressed by how graceful and outspoken she was. Happy to see her all grown, and she can still my breath away even though I'm a straight girl. Always supporting this queen!

This was very refreshing to watch. I’m a huge Selena fan and I noticed that her light and spirit dimmed down between 2013-15 in every interview. The only thing I can possibly think about it is... Selena has been extremely successful all her life, what would be possible for her to see in others people’s lives and think that she doesn’t have. Since all artist are coming out, and being open about their lives it’s CRAZY cuz I always thought their lives were perfect. One of the reasons that I love Selena is that her personality traits are very similar to mine, and I like how vulnerable and sensitive she is. A lot of women are scared to illicit feelings of self doubt but I love how she is so raw about that kind of stuff. I come off as a people pleaser naturally as well, and it will be the death of me! I see the good in it but also I am learning that it is okay to put my needs/wants first sometimes. She's a great role model even if she isn't trying to be. I admired her bravery in the softness.
