No Tim, it's just annoying when important cultural documents are created around our artists and we have this buffoon cutting them off before them can finish their thoughts and trying to prove what a great friend he is to the artist and how passionate and knowledgeable he is about his work. He doesn't realise the interview is not about him or his experience or perspective of their work. He's a total fraud and it's annoying. You need to chill.

Being someone that has followed Uzi for a couple years now, it's really sad to see how far the drug use/fame has changed him. I mean go back and watch the XXL Interview. He's so much more energetic and his dialogue towards music is completely different. When people speak of selling the soul I don't think they mean literally, but doing something out of the norm, doing something that goes against your morals or doing something that signifies that you don't have any morals, pride, or dignity just to get what you want. Kind of like a female that thinks or thought high of herself but will sell her body just so she can get what she wants out of life. That's what I believe selling your soul is, not some illuminati ritual where you sign your name in blood or some weird shit, maybe that's a thing but I don't think that's what people are referring to when they say that. Maybe these rappers and celebrities do some weird fucked up shit to get where they're at and it haunts them, they can feel ashamed of themselves deep down inside which could be a reason why they seem so depressed or emotionless. Idk just my thoughts on the topic.

Doing something what you wouldnt do before means changing your criteria as well. But hey, when we stop change then we die. Also whatever people are referring to, when they say someone have sold his soul it only means that they would do it to get what he's got, but listen - you only get "the offer" when you aint't selling it. As an artist I can say that the most "dark" part of the profession so far is the audience. There are more listeners who talks and think dark shxt about us artists then there are the industry people who think about such a things. The dangerous part is connecting to the audience, not dangerous actually but just scary cuz it makes us feel less secure sometimes, just like when you connect spiritually with some girl or guy you know, things from his/her head start to migrate to yours.

Zane is a fckin boss at interviewing!!! Man done did his homework! LUV is an intriguing dude , I like how no matter how different we all are, there's always some energy we share. & how we naturally gravitate to those on a similar wave.

I love Zane Lowe interviews because he is always so respectful and he never tries to put the artist in a set up question he is a good honest journalist. I respect that and I appreciate that.
