For almost three years, I've used two lines: AT&T and T-Mobile. Both have data connections. This provides me greater assurance of a good connection as I frequently travel (stateside). I can also use SpeedTest to determine data speed of each carrier. Choosing and switching numbers is very quick and easy. Same with voicemail setup and utilization. I started w/iPhone 12PM. I currently have the 14 PM. I hope that helps 🌎

One question. I would like to use the data traffic from Simcard 1 also for Simcard 2. Lets say Simcard 1 is a monthly plan and 50GB of data while Simcard 2 is just a prepaid plan (for every call or every MB of data usage I would need to pay). Could I now tell Simcard 2 to use always the 50GB data Traffic of Simcard 1 if necessary?

You will need one of these to be an eSIM and the other one to be a physical plastic SIM. Most English UK and US carriers support eSIM so you could ask them to help

As long as the device is unlocked and is compatible with both carriers you can use dual SIM with 2 carriers, even internationally. For example, I have a US and a Japanese cellular plan on my iPhone.

⁠@@InvincibleRelaxationwhy do you need a physical sim? The iPhone will store up to 8 esims at one time, you can use any two at the same time. Maybe most US carriers do eSIM, but certainly not uk carriers, only a handful of the most premium brands do, most of the more budget friendly do not offer eSIM and have no plans to.

If you bought your phone in a contract, you will need to get it unlocked before you can use two carriers, you have to speak to the network from which you bought the phone
