Solo might be hesitant to show you inside his vault, but Steve Zahn is more than happy to give you the grand tour. Welcome to Silo 17's IT and Legacy.
Silo Season 2 is now streaming on Apple TV+ apple.co/_Silo
Silo is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and those who try to find out face fatal consequences. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.
In addition to Ferguson, Silo season two stars new addition Steve Zahn, alongside returning stars Tim Robbins, Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie and Iain Glen.
Silo is produced for Apple TV+ by Apple Studios. The series is executive produced by Yost, Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Ferguson, Morten Tyldum, Howey, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon and AMC Studios.

He made the best acting performance in Season 2, his character a grown man stuck in childhood, because he had no social interactions, he nailed it, he deserves an Oscar for it.

such an interesting character. I cried twice during that episode. I fear for Solo though. I just have this feeling his character isn't making it past this season. Steve did an interview and when he was talking about playing Solo he used past tense like it was over and he was done with it. And if you notice in episode 9 when they go to talk to Solo and get the code as the kids and Jules are walking away it looked like someone was watching them from the shadows. Someone else is in Silo 17. And now that the vault door is going to be open and Jules leaving I worry for him and the kids.

He's so multidimensional! At first I was like "Will this guy ever shut up, and let Juliette think?". And a moment later it struck me that he's actually a lonely and scared boy trapped in an adult man's body. Excited to talk to somebody real for a first time in decades. I'm not crying... (yes, I am).

Oscar worthy performance from Steve Zahn, watching him conflicted with his past and what he thinks he has to do was truely a performance by itself but weaved in with his backstory and the friendship he created with Juliet takes this to another level. You don't feel like you're watching Steve Zahn in these moments, you're watching Solo, a lonely person who grew up with a painful identity crisis that no one could understand. Great show I'm looking forward to season 3 and 4.

I was watching SILO Season 2, and when I first saw Solo, I really disliked him. He seemed self-centered and like a completely irrational lunatic. However, as the story progressed, I came to understand his circumstances. He’s just a child trying his best to uphold what his father told him. He never had a teacher to guide him into adulthood. Seeing him survive and persevere on his own, I found him truly admirable while watching Episode 9.

The production design for Silo is second to none, extraordinary care taken in the details. I'm glad there have been shorts like this (and with Adam Savage) to show it off... because we don't get to see it in the actual show to any great extent. I've found the lighting this season to be particularly murky. It's good to strive for realism, considering the effort put into the sets and costume, that they don't get to tell their story, that we're left in the dark is a misstep.

Well, it is too bright compared to the book's original setting. The TV show's lighted set didn't make me feel dread like the book's (pitch black on occasions). That goes without saying that, in the book, Juliette was several weeks on Silo 17 and built a strong bond with the inhabitants, not just a few days with brief superficial conversations.
