Applying Green Tea To Your Face?!?!?

For the past 3 weeks I've been using Isntree Green Tea Fresh Toner. 80% of it has green tea extract in it. A VERY OVERWHELMING PRODUCT. I have oily, acne-prone and damaged skin, and the biggest change I noticed on my face when I started using the product was the decrease in my oil production and how it helped my skin barrier. I live in a hot and humid climate, my face used to be a grease factory (even if I don't go outdoors nor do anything to break a sweat), and when I tell you the 3rd day I was using it my skin INSTANTLY became dewy. And for my damaged skin barrier I still had to use it hoping that it would also fix the problem (well tbh it was the main reason I bought it lol). I only had to use it for a week and almost all of the red spots and itchiness had gone. I've now been using it along with Cosrx Low Ph Cleanser and the Illiyoon Ceramide Cream and my skin has never felt healthier than before :))

Yass . I’ve been using isntree green tea toner for about 5 months and i loved my skin now . I’ve a super oily and acne prone skin too before . I used it everyday,twice a day along with tea tree relief serum and centella calming gel cream from iunik .Its my holy grail and definitely recommend to others with oily/acne prone skin .

I also love this toner! The dark colour was weird at first, but now it seems so normal, especially when you consider the colour of tea. When a toner claims to contain some kind of tea, then comes out completely clear, I start to have my doubts.

I swear by Innisfree Green Tea Sleeping Mask. I have acne prone skin. I have been using it only at night since last year til now. My skin is always glewy in the next morning. And it certainly reduce breakout a lot.

I tried this Benton line and while I liked it well enough, I actually prefer the Isntree Green Tea products (I currently have the toner and the emulsion, and love both of them). Of the Benton Green Tea products, the serum was my favourite.

@@jordillo777 the Benton lotion feels kind of oily/greasy on my skin, and conversely, the Benton cleanser and toner were a bit drying for me. Sometimes, using the toner after cleansing with the cleanser from this Benton line would actually kind of sting my face. The serum was really nice though. I have only tried the Isntree toner and emulsion from the Green Tea line, but I really like them both. The toner doesn't dry out my skin, and the emulsion really helps to moisturize my skin. For the record, I have dehydrated combination skin that is also sensitive.

I am using the benton deep green tea cleanser as my night cleanser for a few months already. it really does its job cleaning my face but it may get a little stinging sensation around my eye areas sometimes. it makes my pimples dry quicker. It may be a little too drying for those who are having dry or dull skin types. Overall, as an oily-acne prone skin person, it is a good cleanser for me. It removes the access sebum wonderfully yet it doesnt strip my face at all. I am still searching for a cleanser that would not sting my eye areas though, so i might not repeat the purchase. I am looking forward to try the deep green tea serum next!!

@@burritogirl3939 hi! sorry for the late reply. you can give it a try though. Even though i have oily acne prone skin, i like gentle cleanser that cleanses and kinda hydrates my skin at the same time. i am using purito defense barrier ph cleanser as my morning cleanser since last year. It is my favourite so far. But just to inform that it doesnt contain any exfoliator like the some by mi's aha bha facewash. one of the key ingredient of that cleanser is tea tree oil that could fight acne and has antibacterial effect. i also believe that the benton deep green tea cleanser also doesnt contain such exfoliators (it only contains a natural exfoliator, not aha bha). im afraid that these cleansers are not strong enough for your skin to make them work (since both of them are not exfoliator cleanser). but as for me, i like the gentler cleanser because it works well with my skin in a longer period of time but effective. you can give it a try if you are curious. hope this helps!!

But in a previous video you said vitamin E is bad for acne, some of the Benton products contain tocopherol(vitamin E)

Vit E is not suitable for all skin types. It is an irritant. But, if it is in combination with other Vitamins like Vit C and Ferulic Acid it may help stabilize the product. There is less evidence that Vit E helps with the skin when applied topically. Save your money and buy Vit C serum (with or without Vit E) instead!

@@kayrle928 vit E alone is an irritant if applied in high concentration. Sensitive skin may experience adverse reaction. If vit E is listed last of the ingredients, do a skin test first. Usually, in combination with other ingredients it is tolerable for sensitive skin.
