liked the comedic piece during the casual interviews with the staff, but the "comedy" in the CEO interview was so unnecessary. comedic timing was so off to the point it was forced comedy that I couldn't pick up on until I read the comments and came off as plain RUDE instead. how did this segment even get pass the editors/ producers? but I tell you what, the CEO handled that failed awkward sequence like a champ, great guy. 10/10 cringe on the interview mothership, don't try too hard, if it doesn't feel right, don't do it. wasted an interview opportunity.

Imagine the ceo/owner of a multi billion dollar company giving you the opportunity for an interview and you squander it by showing a competitor's product and asking questions like "can I be your godson". Completely unclassy, uncouth and cringe worthy. I really like the way Mr Lim navigates around the questions the interviewer threw at him. Some answers were inspiring. Honestly I wouldnt have known how to reply in a polite manner to the godson qn. I would just say no and laugh it off

I think it is nice to make the interview funny. But I feel that this interview is totally unprepared. Like mocking a Chinese CEO speaker. The godson joke is funny, but speaking Chinese like this really showcase the poor attitude presented towards the CEO. If you want to make it funny, at least do it professionally, with a basic command of language. Xin Qi, you have a Chinese name, but why your Chinese so chui? Wtf.

Unpopular opinion but i enjoyed the interview. There are serious questions interlaced with the jokes so you still get to know about the company and the CEO. Even the godson question received an interesting answer that a family member would have to work harder than normal staff. I think it made the interview less boring

Also it’s only logical that the corporate communications team at SS vetted the questions and video before it was released. There's a specific time, space to joke or to be serious, but I think he is definitely not on level to interview such a big shot. 1/10. -1 : no respect to people -1: not bilingual, when u interview u should have studied the background of the interviewee. -1: jokes are not of class enough -1: childish and not mature to do presentations like this. -1: Formality is important u don't argue when u r a guest. I think they were trying to be funny and pull off a Sgag-style video, but it was downright rude, terrible and awkward. If U guys have no idea how to make a good video, take a cue from some HK and TW youtube channels. They could make funny yet high quality and tasteful videos of similar style (interviewing famous CEOs, uncovering the one-day life of a worker at well-known companies). U guys had the rare opportunity to interview a well-respected CEO, and you chose to present it such an awful manner. I’ve seen this host repeatedly try to pull off such half-cooked attempts at humour in previous videos on Mothership that similarly come across as unfunny at best and cringe-inducing at worst. Even if this video with the Sheng Shiong CEO was meant to be scripted to look like a Michael Scott-esque mockumentary sequence and approved by their corp comms, it has crossed any conceivable line lowered by those previous videos into the territory of unprofessionalism and straight-up disrespect for your interview subject. It is unfathomable that Mothership continues to go down this path of continuing to attempt such humour and/or using this so-called talent to host their videos.
