Applying Vintage Sno-Commander Decals to my 1980 Dodge W200!

This time at the Quick Speed Shop I'm applying vintage Sno-Commander decals to my 1980 Dodge W200 truck. Dodge used the term Sno-Fiter for their factory plow package trucks in the early 1970s. Around 1975 they changed the term to Sno-Commander. These trucks came equipped with a Meyer snow plow and featured reflective graphics down the sides that called out Sno-Fiter or Sno-Commander. In 1979, the full length graphics were replaced with just a rectangular decal on the quarter panel saying Sno-Commander with some starts underneath the name.

Check the tightness of the amp gauge wires once in a while,they were very problematic for coming loose and heating up.Also where wires went through bulkhead connector on firewall,The wiring on these trucks were not great,as a former mopar tech I repaired alot of them.

👍 I got the amp gauge wires nice and tight. When I had the truck all apart I cleaned all the bulkheads and coated them with dielectric grease.

Maybe you could find a single stage urethane kit online that almost matched the brown and paint the dodge. It would look nice 😁

Absolutely not! I spent $500 on paint just to do the cab when I swapped that. Every single panel is ruined on this truck. It would take weeks of body work, and thousands in materials and labor to paint this truck. I don't want a painted show truck, they are useless. I want a usable, original paint truck. I already have twice what this truck is worth in parts to restore it already, not counting a years worth of labor!

Are you planning on the strobe stripes for the cab also?

No. They weren't used after 1978.
