OMG! This was one of the first vinyl tutorials I ever watched over a year ago and I've been trying to find it again! You did a great job of explaining and I never forgot the water trick. Thank you so much for this. Hope you're doing well and still making videos!

Omg just what I needed. Placing water in wine glasses is a great idea!

You can draw a straight line with a marker over the transfer tape if you don't have an image to go by. I did that when I first started at a sign company many years ago.

Can you tell me the type of vinyl used
@colemyst7 жыл бұрын
Your question probably was to Silhouette School, but I use Oracle 651 for permanent use like glasses and Oracle 631 for temporary like for a wall decor. I found them at Swing Design but google for the best prices.

I just purchased my Cricut Explore Air 2, still have it in the box today and I'm dining to get it set up. I have been going through You Tube watching these videos on how to use my Cricut and came up on your video. I want to do some glasses and your video gave me a lot of ideas for glass. I'm in my 60's and just not getting started in crafts. I just can't wait to get started. Keep those videos rolling in. You are a great teacher.

The clear contact paper from the dollar store does well as transfer tape. You to make sure that it picks up everything from the cut material you are transferring, but it is much easier on the other end when you are removing it from the glass (or whatever object). It comes off small letters or designs much better than the transfer tape. Just my experience...

I find it doesn't always let the vinyl go when you go to transfer it to a mug. I buy the contac kind only and have no problems

shirley otero Measure the shot-glass height and width, turn on the grid measure in your design space, use the ruler along the top and side to get the measurement that you need.

Question on this.. Will this never come off when getting wet?
@alicebrown607 жыл бұрын
Kaniyahs Korner Even permanent vinyl will come off over time in your dishwasher. For that reason they recommend handwashing (and avoid prolonged soaking) any item you apply vinyl to, whether the vinyl is temporary or permanent, for the longest and best result. I hope that helps. 😊

Funny there is never any mention in these "educational" videos about thin glasses shattering when pressing down the decal and/or burnishing ......be careful or you will be visiting the emergency room :) So remember to choose glasses that are sturdy and NOT the cheap thin rubbish OK
@brujitacrafty5 жыл бұрын
This is the second vid where I hear the term "varnish"; why do you use this term?
@heatherblake75974 жыл бұрын
The word is burnish. It’s when you scratch the image off the transfer tape onto the glass/mug/wood.
