you might be using the legacy UI brother. You can change it at the top right ribbon/tabs where there's a toggle you can click to switch between the views

LOL! YES YOU ARE SPOT ON MY FRIEND! at first it does look similar to sheets, but as more mods done to the view / look and feel it will transition to something slightly different. In the end it's input-process-output. I do hope Appsheet will bring in more UI/UX controls/features. I for one am with you in this.
