I’ve never been so disappointed at an intake. The plastic causes a deep humming sound every time you floor it and when the rpm’s go down, it does a thump sound. Doesn’t sound normal at all.

I can install this with a MAF sensor if I get the adapter, corrrect? Also is there a hole for secondary air intake or do we need to make that ourselves?

No, but you need to buy the SAI filter along with this for the GTI. Open air filter sounds amazing compared to stock...especially those waste gate dumps.

@@alexandruolteanu3605 they would answer about the Octavia MK4 RS compatibility with the intake system. Since I asked about the Stage 1 release they will probably not answer 😂 which is sad that they are not more open about this tune. Their tune for previous gen of 2.0 TSI was an amazing product! This only brings up some doubts about the safety of the tune 😞

​@@RobinBudik if you got a gen 4 ea888 it will fit. Some guys in France and Switzerland are getting 320/330hp with a tune on a golf gti. That's about 80 to 90hp +

I put it in an instantly my engine started knocking, got a tune and it still happens. Tried to message APR and they said “talk to your tuner” then closed the ticket

@@chaseangstadt8625no way really? Have you tried going back to the stock intake to see if the knocking went away? I’m curious if the sensor was misreading IAT or throttle output. Hope you got your issue resolved
