KNOCK KNOCK THEORY (my own opinion) : 1) The first line of lyrics said that the door will closed on 12 am . 2) TWICE received a book named Twicecoaster , they read it and then they realised it was snowing outside ,so they went out and played . But then they played until they forgot the time . It's already 12 am and they realised the door was closing and locked. They keep knocking the door because they want to go in . 3) Before they went out and have fun , they left the book on the page with Momo The Fairy . After 12am , the door closed itself and the fairy in the book started to release spells causing the time travel back and summoned the spirit inside the book into another dimension. ( TT's dimension) 4) Meanwhile in TT , the TWICE who the kids saw was not the real TWICE . After sometime , the dimension of the so called " Spirit TWICE " in TT and the real TWICE in KNOCK KNOCK who was outside and keep knocking the door intercepted . The Spirit TWICE disappeared . The kids heard the knocking sound and shocked because they saw another TWICE outside the door. 5) In conclusion , the knock knock's timeline was happening at the same time but in different dimension with the TT's timeline.

You're overthinking it. My theory is they were always fairy tale characters. The kids never actually saw them other than maybe Mina in a painting. They came to life because "magic" I guess and Halloween, then when the clock struck 12 the magic wore off like in Cinderella and they disappeared back into the book. The knocking the kids heard at the end of TT was actually Twice knocking on the door to get back in before they disappeared. No time travel was involved.

I got some thoughts here to share with u about the connections between "Knock Knock", "TT" and the movie "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children", and the theory behind all these things. First, the hallway of the house, the clock and how the clock reversing in the MV looks kinda like the ones in the movie, which might be the evidences or symbols to prove the following points below: 1.TWICE represents all the children with the special powers who were trapped in the loop. 2.The reason why they knock on the door is because they were trapped in the loop.(the fairy tale) 3.ONCE represents the one who's gonna break the loop for them by opening the door. 4.So yeah I think they will be set free at the end of the "TT" and "Knock Knock" MV. Btw the reaction is cute haha I enjoyed it very much 😂

Timeline of story: knock knock came before TT. Story: twice is having a sleepover and they were pillowfighting, doing the mannequin challenge then there was a knock at the door. Maybe the pizza they ordered? But no no no, it was jyp. Twice was pissed so they closed the door. Then they thought, why did he come? So they opened the door again and they saw a book!! They went back in the house to look at the book which was filled with movie characters (elsa, bunny, pinocchio, ariel the mermaid etc.) Then jihyo said omg guys, its snowing!! So they all went out to play, leaving the book in the house. Then, oh crap!! The door is locked!! While twice was playing outside, two kids went in the house and locked the door as seen in TT. The kids went in the house and they were like woah. They saw that the book came to life!! All twice members were dressed up as the characters in the book that jyp gave them. After twice was done performing for the kids, the song TT ended and there was a knock on the door. This was when twice from knock knock teleported into the house. And the kids were surprised to see twice... End of story . Note! This may not be the official story that jyp wanted to show but this is my interpretation. If you guys dont know what the hell im saying then i suggest that you watch the two mvs again and come back to my comment. ^^ Enjoyy PS ignore the different themes of the mvs cuz they are juz themes and do not contribute to the story.

In my opinion knock knock was the first one when they were stuck outside of the house they were knocking and they were the one who is knocking the door from TT they die because they can't handle the cold and became the ghost in the TT and TT was also released in October which is Halloween and that's why they have costumes. That's my theory......
