I think a video focused on Nihei's work would be cool! I blasted through Knights of Sidonia in a few days, and I cannot understate his usage of background art and heavy blacks in his panels. Going to start up Blame! tonight and I plan on reading more. Almost done with college and I started collecting manga after you and some others in the community got me interested. I used to be a hardcore anime fan, and now I almost can't go back. I feel a lot of passion behind what you do, and thank you for giving me a new and fun hobby to keep me busy!

I recommend this to a ton of manga tubers so forgive me if you’ve already read it or have it but you gotta check out Drifting Dragons. Theres 9 volumes and they’re available in English from kodansha, it’s my number 1 favourite series and it doesn’t get talked about a ton, so I’d be ecstatic to see more people enjoy it

@Levi Kerr the food is apart of it yes, but they use dragon meat for the food so you normally get both. Plus the art and characters carry the story for me. Give it a try and you should know if it’s for you by the 2nd or 3rd volume

It’s Noise, which was released by Tokyopop in the states around the time they did the original release of the series. I’ve been hoping Vertical/Kodansha would do something like the German 0, basically a master edition including Noise and all the various one shots and stuff that tie into the series that haven’t been released yet in English.

The best cyberpunk manga you can get is hands down Alita. I’ll have to do a comedy manga video at some point because there are a lot of good ones. Grand Blue Dreaming, Saint Young Men, Komi, and Way of the House Husband are definitely up on the list rn

Are those pokemon adventures omnibusses the same Manga as the boxset of pokemon adventures? I've owned the first boxset for a couple of years as I bought it from a friend of mine, but I've never started it, so I want to know if it's the series you're talking about. Also, what are some great websites to search for out of print manga? I've been trying to collect GTO for a while now (Around 3 years) and I only need 5 more volumes to complete the original series, but they are ridiculously hard to find for a good price, and when I find one they ask up to a €100,- per volume which sucks.

I’ve yet only read the first few volumes but had a lot of fun with it. That was back in high school though so it’s been a while. I got the series somewhat recently for really cheap because a friend was able to get me the majority of the volumes at a discount shop for like $3 a pop, but I hadn’t gotten around to reading the whole thing yet. Many of my friends speak pretty highly of it, though
