I don't think the cover painting looks imbalanced. I think because you have a one point perspective the focal point remains strongly in the centre of the painting. It's difficult to even notice that one side is busier than the other because it's not a primary focus. It looks gorgeous as always, I promise 🥰 I always love your paintings 👏

The only ones considering digital illustration cheating are the ones that are truly ace at it (like yourselves). It’s a true art and I’m sure plenty of classical painters would consider painting to be cheating if they were asked to make a digital illustration, because they may be more proficient at painting. I don’t think the cover painting looks unbalanced. I feel that since it is the right-hand side of the spread you need to have more mass and interest happening near the midpoint of the two-page spread. Particularly since the left-hand side of the spread is so open and white. Thank you for sharing such a lovely design! 🙂

Waah it's absolutely beautifull ! 🥹 You won't believe me but I was litteraly watching the theme of hedgehogs you did before a few days ago and I was just wondering if you'll do a similar theme 🙈 I couldn't wait your video haha ! I'm happy you did and that you followed what you wanted to do ! From where is your green stencil and clear ruler please?

The clear ruler is one that I have had for probably 10-15 years so I don't remember where it's from 😅 But I'm sure you can find a large clear ruler similar to it from any of your local stationery stores (or online). I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you mean by the green stencil? If it's the brass ruler, it's linked in the description! :)

What type of scanner do you use because mine always messes up my art. TIA

I use the Canon Canoscan Lide 400 but it messes up my art too 😅 I need to be so careful to evenly push the art piece to the scanner to not get blurry spots (especially with watercolor paintings since the paper is slighlty bent). The colors are always messed up so I correct them in Photoshop. I usually need to in increase the contrast, brightness and fix some color settings too.

Which printer do you use to print your color palettes? Because I get scratches and the color does not look uniform

Oh no! :( I use a Canon Pixma Pro 100 for everything I print (including shop items). It's a pretty expensive printer but I used to have very good results with Canon Pixma TS8350. I still sometimes get small lines if the color is very dark but not to the point that it would bother me much. Something I have realized is that the printing errors are often caused by the inks running low.
