Odd how some medical issues can stay "hidden" from us. A couple weeks ago, on a Sunday, I woke up with a deaf left ear. I just went about my business, and ignored it, tried blowing my nose, tried it all, nope. Then I went online, looked it up and just every site I went to told me it was a medical emergency. So off to the medical "weekend shift" I went about 4H later (it's by appointment). Our town has a very nice medical weekend service; cost me 1,50 euro and the doctor did all sorts of neurological tests. I was in there 1H, my dad even got worried and came out the car to the waiting room. Apparently my blood pressure (BP) was 17/10, so very high. So after visiting my GP the next day, I am now on BP medication and doing very well on it (usually 13/8 now). If I had not woken up deaf in one ear that Sunday, I still would not have known. My GP visits every couple months so that's a long time without a BP check. It could have very well gone unnoticed. And yep, it just crept up on me! My gosh. I am now faithfully checking my BP a couple times a week (GP asked me to take it every day the first week on the medication and did 2 blood draws to check some important values, like potassium). I got so lucky it was discovered when it was.

I am so so glad you got checked out!!!! Medical stuff can be so scary because yes, there could be a lot going on deep inside that you have no idea about. Again, I am so happy you were seen and now can monitor this!

@@MrKongsMom I appreciate the feedback, Melanie; you are super nice in your comment section: *always* and that goes very far in my book as having an amazing YT presence. Don't ever change that because it's priceless and it's the kind of thing a lot of us appreciate. Stuff like that can completely bind people to your channel. I have literally had channels, don't get me wrong, that I absolutely loved that I now easily skip video after video (very busy these days). You take the effort to comment almost every video (I try not to exaggerate), and they just don't give a crap even if you frequently comment. Not that I have that much of an ego that I need the validation, but it's just... it's your audience, right? Yes, it can become busy on a channel especially with a lot of subscribers, and I don't fault them that at all, but then there are those channels that actually *can* give you kind of a general comment in the comment section or even a general (just a general) acknowledgement in a video; and that makes a lot of difference! There have been big YTers that have totally obliterated themselves by ignoring their viewers.

Thank you so so soooo much for this comment! It truly made my night when I read it last night. I have gotten so much enjoyment out of my channel and it's due to YOU guys! Every comment I get puts a smile on my face (minus the occasional asshat lol). But this why I am still uploading, it's the engagement. The random comments. The questions. The suggestions. The encouragement. The support. All of it. I feel so lucky to have the people I have that watch me regularly. There are so many creators on this platform. Honestly, I am shocked anyone makes the time to watch. Life is so busy. I always have youtube on in the background but that works for my lifestyle and current job but not everyone can do that. So the fact that some people make time to watch and engage, it's amazing. And I am thankful! Thankful for you and everyone else here. Thank you again for making my evening. It means so much.

I have been shaving my face, neck, earlobes and hands since the mid ‘90’s. I too was “caught” by my husband, he was shocked but then I explained that I had a lot of peach fuzz, it was a barrier for my skincare and I liked the way my makeup went on my shaved face. I shave about twice a month & highly recommend. Great video! TY!❤

Thank you! I am so proud of them, especially after years of having them in water as a florist. They were awful! I go to a nail salon once a month for a manicure. I like shellac but lately I have been doing dip powder as I can get a month out of it - I mean it looks rough because of the growth at the end of each month but it holds up insanely well. NEVER a chip. Shellac can chip. I am not gentle with my hands.

It's called the Flawless Touch, which actually works decently, but replacement heads can get costly. I prefer regular razors as well. Enjoy the day :)

I have that. It’s great if you just want a quick dry shave, if you’re in a rush, but I literally lather up in my shower and shave like my man most of the time😂…menopause is so much fun! At least my face looks like a hairless babies butt though🤷♀️

I am having an issue with regrowth from Minoxidil. Don't get me wrong, I am so happy that I have regrowth. Styling the pieces that stick up is difficult with gray hair and my hair is fine.. Could you do a dedicated video on this? I am interested in clear oils, protein free masks,... Grey hair is beautiful, but one has to take specialized care of it. I always appreciate you grey hair advice, Melanie.
@MrKongsMom8 ай бұрын
I actually have a video that I will be doing about my regrowth tomorrow I think. So far I have not found anything that really helps with keeping the short hairs down other than being careful to really blow dry them down when drying. Most smoothing type products are just too heavy for me so sometimes I just resort to hairspray. It's frustrating but you just have to get to the point where they are long enough to lay properly. Totally get your pain!

I just use an electric shaver for my face (& pits). Epilator (Braun) on my legs and it's just awesome, it won't come back for at least 4 weeks! I can't do an epilator on my pits & face, yikes no. But the electric shaver is super easy for your face!

Hi! I just found your channel and love all your content! I was wondering if you had any issues with the Daeng Gi Mio staining your hair yellow since it looks yellow (online anyway). I had to stop my favorite macadamia oil conditioner because it was causing yellowing. Thank you!
@MrKongsMom8 ай бұрын
Not at all! No yellowing at all. My hair is naturally gray and picks up everything... but nothing from those particular products.
@sheilah.81378 ай бұрын
@@MrKongsMom Thanks for answering! I ordered them but then got nervous because someone said the shampoo was yellow in color. I am anxious to try them! Do you still use the macadamia oil masque? I was looking at your old videos and saw you were using it a while back. I love it but think it may have caused yellowing for me.
@MrKongsMom8 ай бұрын
@@sheilah.8137 Personally I did not notice any yellowing from that either. But I do use a purple shampoo and conditioner once a week to correct any unwanted tones in my gray. Maybe that is why. Are you using purple shampoo and conditioner?
@sheilah.81378 ай бұрын
@@MrKongsMom I am not using purple shampoo. That may be the answer for me. I really liked that macadamia masque. I will give the purple a try. I also wasn’t using a clarifying shampoo which I am now using. That might help too. Thank you for taking the time and answering.

I am a drugstore girl at heart, but my goodness, Melanie, since *when* do we as women have to be apologetic when we pamper ourselves with, for instance, a more expensive shampoo/conditioner? Sheesh. And there will always be people taking offense... at the slightest thing it seems. It's an odd day and age, man.
